I have been trying to get my random daily done for the past 4 hours today....in that time there has been 25 queue pops.....and 25 failures.. why? because each time it has put me into a dlc dungeon with a group that is either incapable, super toxic....or in the most the most recent attempt..a mixture of both.

if we could could random vet dungeons without getting thrown in a dlc dungon...so it's actually possible with 90% of the pugs, that'd be great...

    just curious - why do players queue for a random dungeon?

    i definitely do it for exp and i would be happier if they separated dlc dungeons from normal ones.

    Really, your right, a separate que for non-dlc would be good as there is a huge skill difference in them. Ironically, you could effect this yourself by unsubscribing. Not so great for ZOS on that one.

    In general, the random que can be pretty toxic because crap groups tend to loose their better players on hard fights and ZOS just back fills these groups with random suckers. It can get to the point that it seems like all you get out of the que is random failed groups trying to slog though content well above their skill level.

    Just avoid the que. It is not worth the XP to deal with ZOS failed system. If you have guilds make a group from that. If not, use zone in Grahatwood to put together a group. Groups formed from zone are much better on average than group finder ones. You can Jerry rig the system this way as well by picking up a player from Grahatwood first and using the que for the rest. You will then probably avoid being a fill for a failed group in DLC content, get a clean roll on what dungeon you draw, and still get the XP from the rando daily.
    I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

    I cancelled my subscription just for this reason. it really increased my enjoyment of the game.
    It is so nice to do the daily dungeon quest and never, ever get a DLC dungeon.

    A Player who doesn't have ESO+ and hasn't bought the dungeon DLCs is worth a fortune in guilds. Find one and group with him before queuing for your vet random. If he wants to he can drop group once you're in the instance and you can queue for a replacement member.

    I think the best solution is not to have a separate queue for DLC dungeons, but to have a "lesser" queue for non dlc. So the three queues would be:

    - "Random Normal", full xp and rewards;
    - "Random Vet", full xp and rewards,
    - "Random Vet non DLC", 50% (maybe 75%?) of the xp and rewards the true-random queue gives.

    wow I never realized how valuable I am :) I will have to advertise this. I cancelled my sub last year with the horrors of bloodroot forge and have never subbed since.
