Why are cost increase poisons still in the game?

    Poisons should increase the cost of stamina and magicka skills.

    Sprinting, dodge rolling, breaking free, blocking, crouching, bashing, jumping, using emotes, etc. should be exempt.

    I'm pretty sure that dodge rolling, blocking and breaking free are not affected by poisons which increase stamina costs.
    I haven't test the other things.

    last time I checked resto heavies were widely common with enough extra mag to make up for the shields you're gonna burn.

    It's not an issue of heavy attack sustain.

    It's about you being completely vulnerable for nearly 3 seconds. Not only are you not refreshing your shields during this time, you're also completely dropping all pressure on your opponent, especially so on Magsorc which has zero DoTs. Anyone decent will quickly and effectively use this against you by going full offense.

    Add that to the fact that resto heavies are absurdly visible and telegraphed, and you might as well scream "KILL ME NOW".

    Cost poisons are the worst possible cancer in the game. Guaranteed bag to anyone who uses them and still manages to die.

    Poisons as is in this game is fit for a singleplayer game, not at all for multiplayer. The killrate difference is quite high between poison vs no poison users. What makes bleed builds extra brutal is those triple health poisons for example. Resource poisons would still be useful even if it was nerfed to 5%.

    I agree except for one thing.

    Should apply to emotes as well. Plz nerf emotes.

    Cost poisons are just one of the things zos brought in as a band aid to a problem they decided to be lazy about.

    They were introduced when everyone was full heavy builds with 600 regen yet could perfectly sustain.

    So instead of addressing the obviously imbalance issues they decided to do what they always do and bring in some OP thing too sort it out.

    Originally they was 60% increase and everyone on the pts was shouting how OP they were, whether you won or lost a duel was decided whether you had cost poisons and the opponent didn't, of course zos ignored feedback.

    6 months down the line suddenly zos decided that 60% was too OP and then halved it. Then they gutted sustain and left the cost poisons in anyway as another OP crutch to benefit the casual large groups.

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.


    RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

    I agree but then ill miss my favorite immobilize/stam cost poison lol

    Time to buff these poisons! No one's using them anymore since they got nerfed to the ground. Maybe increase the efficiency from 10% -> 15% and see how it goes.

    Just do one extra heavy attack... you spend one less GCD on a skill and you gain resources from the heavy attack.

    The balance issue is that cost poisons can apply to break free and roll dodge. I’m ok with roll dodge, but a break fee costing 8.5k because of a poison is a bit excessive in no cp.that stun locks the mag toon.

    Break free should not be affected by Stam poisons.

    This. The lock down, drain and burn style is stupid OP rn. Yesterday I watched like 10k stamina drain while doing a failed break free in a big fight. The old guard combat team really wanted to see this game rid of mobile solo players.
