I'm baffled as to why this mask pack has a higher price in comparison to last month's version. The styles aren't even that different from the previous one, yet this is more expensive.
There's no logic behind the price hike aside from just being shady.
I have been waiting all month for the release of the new Reveries Operatic Mask Pack. I had put aside 700 crowns and was ready to log in today and buy them.....only to see that this pack is 1000 crowns.
But, wait a minute, the mask set from last month.....the House of Reveries Mask Pack was only 700 crowns.
Really Zos??
Look I have always enjoyed buying masks and other unique cosmetic items from the crown store. Since I started this game 3 years ago, my boyfriend and I have spent crowns to buy mounts, motifs, pets and whatnot. We are both ESO+ members. But..I wish this company would realize that average income players have a set amount for their gaming budget!! It's like you don't even want my money....unless you can have it ALL...and unfortunately for you, my landlord gets the bulk of it!
I could add 300 more crowns to my account and buy the mask pack to help support my favorite game... but NOPE...not doing it this time!
I'm glad you guys agree that the random price increases aren't cool. But, I know after playing this long that ZOS will never acknowledge it...or change it.

So you also understand that various outfits have different price points, and this is evident when you dye them? The more expensive outfits take a far richer color when dyed than the cheaper ones. The cheaper masks dye ok. The set from this week are far, far richer in color when dyed. This is how things have always worked. This is not some new phenomena. If you are ticked because you assumed the price based on other sets and can't afford 1000 crowns well, that's unfortunate. But this isn't any different than any other set they've released.
You go, hold your ground and do not buy it.
By the way, Zos does not and should not consider the average income of players. What they look at and most businesses look at is the revenue received vs the cost to design and manufacture in cases it is a physical item. Items are not really designed for the average customer.
Should Volkswagen consider the average income of their customers when pricing a Porche or even an Audi? Probably not since both are targeting a different crown than the Volkswagen models.
