That is how I leveled up in Morrowind and Obivion. I can' remember if that was a Daggerfall skill as well. So for almost 20 years, I am just use to jumping. I also do it when I play any character not just sorcerer. Old habit to break. Even Geralt jumps a lot. LMFAO.
Not my quote but I love this saying

"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"

Supposedly, it gives a better hit radius where you can aim at your targets in 360 degrees vs 180 in front of you. Meaning- if an enemy is behind you- you'll be able to target them better mid air.

Then again- that might be complete ***.
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

exactly. You might even land hits on an enemy who cant counterhit you because hes not jumping. Useful in varied terrain, and especially in terrain with rocks

LOS as mentioned and to keep momentum when you're stunned to negate the "locked in one place" effect of being stunned.

Try heavy attacking while jumping. You go farther if done right.

I've heard it makes you take no AoE damage if you're in the air. I tested this, but it's completely bs. You're still taking damage as long as you're in the the circle of pain.

Blame the terrain and all the bugs with it. I can't count how often I've fallen through walls or the ground. Don't get me started on being leaped at and falling through the terrain. I laugh, but its not funny when a massive fight breaks out and you can't get out because the game considers you in combat.

My char is a Bosmer - that's why. Bosmer are short and have to jump to see over tall grass, to get over rocks and logs. Besides, my Bosmer is quite bubbly and bouncy so it just comes naturally.

Oh, and 'tactically', she does sometimes hop while running so she can quickly jump, spin to look behind her, face forward again before landing and not lose any forward speed. This comes in handy if being chased or just if checking on group mates behind.

Because on Xbox 'A' is 'jump' and also 'interact'. So every time I try to loot something or enter a door I end up jumping.

Because on Xbox, the “A” button is used for both jump and to interact with environmental features (doors, nodes, loot corpses, etc) and targeting is horrendous so all those “jumps” you see me doing in Traitor’s Vault are really just failed attempts to open a wardrobe.

Add a couple pets, npcs, or other LoS blockers and you’ve got yourself a regular pogo party!

I jump while casting to avoid certain slow-down mechanics at the beginning of the spell, as well as to keep momentum in my chosen direction so I can take my fingers off of the movement keys for a second to fire off an attack.

Bunny hopping is stupid as hell in games like Halo, but it's something you'll eventually gravitate towards competitively on here.

I also tend to run, dodge roll, jump, and streak into my opponent so they're always having to turn to keep up with me.
