There's a terrible lag with the graphics already in this game, better graphics is gonna come at a bigger cost right?

The graphics are just fine as they are.

Of course that is just my opinion, but I haven't seen better graphics in the very many MMOs I've played over the years.

Yes. At least they should revamp the old zones. Morrowind and Summerset are really far regarding quality from the old zones.

That would make a lot of players return and others to start.

That's typical of The Elder Scrolls. Nirn is the 'normal' world and the various Daedric planes are where things get distorted and bizarre.

Upgrading asset designs is not a simple process. And moving to a new development engine is essentially creating a new game.

There are plenty of games out there that give you oversaturated graphics and weird for the sake of being weird. You're going to be less frustrated visiting one of those for a while than not getting your way trying to change this one.

I’ve never understood the fixation on graphics in games, to be honest. Game engine, plot/story, mechanics, and genre have a much bigger impact on enjoyment.

In the original zones Yes. I have been saying this for a long time now.
The DLC and Chapter looks so much better than the vanilla zones its jarring.
It not great for new players who start in wonderfully detailed expansions and then go to vanilla to find themselves in a bowl of Bland.
Its not so much graphics as it is attention to detail and world-building to make the world feel alive.
The vanilla zones lack alot detail in comparison to the DLC.

Im certain there are plenty of graphics enhancing mods out there.
What people actually should ask for is fixing years-old bugs and polishing up the gameplay a bit more rather than such stuff...

Only a graphical upgrade in the base game zones (except for Cyrodil for PvP reasons)
The DLC areas don’t need any improvements

I'm sorry @iLagxLucid, but I really couldn't disagree with you more. Every region has a different look and atmosphere. Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing.
