Would you like to see world bosses that actually move around?

I absolutely love everything about this game but one thing you can say is pretty dull is the world boss system.

EVERY world boss sits in one place never leaves ever never needs to eat or go hunt nothing.

I also feel like theres no immersive feeling in open world questing, making world bosses actually move around would be sooooo awesome.

You can be farming material or such and outa nowhere you turn around and its a world boss :#:#

That would be something. Maybe have some bosses that move some that dont.

Just feel this would make zones so much more fun and exciting.

Would anyone else like to see this?

No. I very much disliked the Roving Threat system of world bosses in LOTRO because having to search the far ends of the map to find and kill the boss you needed was a time sink, boring, and tedious. It was also hard to PUG groups for it, so much so that people had to advertise that they'd already found the bosses locations for that day (although add-ons helped).

No, but - I agree that it's an interesting idea. But imagine you're playing on your level 12 alt and a world boss drops on your head! It could work somewhere like Craglorn perhaps if people were prepared for it. I do like the idea, but people would whine too much when they got one-shotted whilst chopping wood :D

Don't we already have this? Have you ever been to imperial city and the sewers?

Check out cloudrest. Not really the moving type but that zmaja creeper turns and stares you if you move. It's scary af.

I would like to see anything that makes the world more dynamic. Roaming world bosses, random plagues, invading forces attacking cities. Even mechanics that may shut down important parts of cities and progressively get worse until the players quell the troubles. Things like this would make the world more vibrant and alive, while being less cardboard cutouts on rails.

I don't think everyone can solo all the world boss. It would be interesting to see the numbers on that survey. Pretty much every time I play, folks get on zone chat asking for "help with (world boss name)". Folks would likely not be happy if a wandering world boss killed them while they were out solo questing, farming mats, etc.

I'd kind of like to see it in overland Cyrodiil. Might make some interesting tactics, luring a World Boss to a keep to soften up the forces there or provide a distraction...

As @Inarre said, have you even been to the Imperial City that’s currently overrun with daedra? (Because “clearly you obviously haven’t” is what your question is telling me.)
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

I love the roamers in Imperial City and Sewers. Too bad they put unnecessary pvp in that area.

Also, a “deliver the payload” mode is sorely needed. They have the mechanics on Battering Rams, they roll forward as long as there’s people “on it”.

It baffles me how people can be against making the overland world believable by having world bosses actually move and do something and random patrols. They act like a death in this game hurts you or something. This game has the most carebear death system of them all. In 5 seconds your rezzed up and good to go and all that happened is a little bruised pride. Add a little excitement to your lives..damn.

I miss Stiches as a level 7 noob, getting 1 shot by him lol :)

1 day us 50's dragged him outside Stormwind down the road, and kept heals on a legion of level 3 - 7's as they had the time of their life trying to take down Stiches. The devs popped in and watched the half hour fight and had no problem with us doing it.

    1. I'd love to see EPIC Roaming WB's especially the type like in Wrothgar, but stronger.
    2. I'd also like to see some Revenge World Bosses IE if you farm too many Senche's in an area a DemiGod WB Senche might appear and take revenge.

Note, While I heralded 1Tamriel, it took the Roamers danger away. We need it back. Give us the Precious.

I bet you did the same thing I did the first time you saw and heard one of those monstrous reavers and that was.."damn that's awesome!" I still remember the first time we ran into that dude when he tried sneaking up on our group and our voice chat went nuts lol. Kinda like this..these are MMO memories friends and I still laugh about. Curse words on vid in case someone is sensitive to them.

no, it more trouble then it is worth, and rather not get killed by it when I'm trying to farm gathering nodes. having stay in a den is more immersive as their pray is in the area. Most animals don't travel far from their dens to get food unless they are looking for a new den, or migrating for mating.
