Legend of Zelda Link to the past for SNES.

And I like MMOs in general for the character customization. You can really make them your own. I maaainly like ESO for the elderscrolls lore it shares (coming from playing most of the TES games growing up obviously)

However interacting with people and grinding dungeons and such is fun for me... I'm not much of a pvp player yet but extremely like ESO's take on it (has a similar style as GW2)

Space Invaders on an arcade machine somewere in the seventies followed by Pong on the Atari 2600, first game on my first home computer (Commodore64) was Artic Fox. I have played countless RPG''s after Dungeon Master came out on the Commodore Amiga and later on PC.

First MMO was Ultima Online Second Age on a dial up connection what didnt really worked, started Dark Age of Camelot when it came out with a much better connection and played it for almost 10 years.

Tried many other MMO's over the years but for me only DAOC, EVE online and ESO were/are worth the time.

Ignoring the earlier "video" games like Pong, I bought my Spectrum in 1983 for the Hobbit by Melbourne House, and played assorted text adventures, followed by role-playing games (Bard's Tale, Wizardry, Might and Magic, Lands of Lore, the Gold Box series etc) until the internet came along and then I played text MUDs followed by MMOs.

The first MMO was probably the Realm, although I dabbled unsuccessfully with UO and then got hooked on EQ. These days I play MMOs as a natural extension of everything I've played before, incorporating the quests of text adventures, the combat of role-playing games, and the involvement of other players and micro-management as with MUDs, all set in dynamic and constantly evolving game worlds.

I played some random games on friends' computers before, but the first one I bought was, I think, a shareware game called Realmz.

I don't play MMOs, I'm basically here for the Elder Scrolls experience.

First one was Ultima Online, my 14-year-old son and I broke our cherries a long time ago and to this day we still play online games. The only big difference he is big in PvP, am more the explorer PvE guy. Yet, the biggest thing about UO was how you could be scared out of your seat when someone was hiding behind the tree and would come at ya. Hiding in UO to this day can't be matched to how they did it in UO. It was also full loot when they killed you.

The funniest thing I ever saw was when a major PvP guy would kill low levels and became a major pain in game. So one day a bunch of guys/kids got together made a bunch of level 2 characters and went after him. They not only killed him but stole his key to his house and ransacked it. To this day no one was really sure what happened to him.

    True story!

Spyro the Dragon on Play Station.

I'm not really into MMO's. But I am enjoying ESO after coming in from one of the other games in the Elder Scrolls Franchise.

My first gaming experience was on the SNES.

I don't particularly like MMOs. The only "MMO" I enjoyed before ESO was GW1. I don't like grinding and I enjoy rich story-driven RPGs, which immediately excludes 95% of MMOs.

I play ESO because it's a good RPG, but unlike single player RPGs, it has much more longevity. It always sucks when you beat a single player RPG and have to simply stop playing as there is no more content. The cooperative aspect of doing dungeons and raids in an MMO is also fun and adds a layer of strategy that single players games don't have.

in 1975 I played a game that was a shark coming at 'ya that you had to shoot with a harpoon. The game got progressively harder as the shark came faster. That was it, the full extent of the game. We though it was amazing. It was cutting edge for it's day. :)

My first video game ever was Super Mario Bros on NES. My first MMO was Runescape (now RS Old school). When I was a teen I got really into Final Fantasy and Zelda games. When I was about 21 I found SecondLife. Sadly after that, I had a hard time really getting into single player games. I've been all about mmo's and online multiplayer games ever sense. Every now and then I'll get the urge to just block out the world and zone out to a single player game, but after a few hours im just like ugh what's even the point? lol

Lemmings on an Atari, the exact model escapes me but one of the ST series. I like mmo's for the social side of it, the sheer size of them amongst other reasons. My first one was Runescape, many moons ago.

Rogue. A turn-based dungeon crawl game played on a grid with ASCII characters. I played it on my first home computer, a clunky DEC desktop running CP/M, not DOS, back in 1983 or so. Shortly thereafter, I got hooked on Infocom games like Zork, Enchanter, and Leather Goddesses of Phobos. There were no actual graphics on these, just storylines and puzzles to solve. But in my imagination, I could see entire rooms, caverns, castles, spaceships, etc. Very cool stuff!

Ummmm if I remember well it was Doom, yes the first one. I was just a kid then and was scared af because of headphones and monsters jumping from behind. Oh the times when PEGI didn't exist...

And why MMOs? Because I love cRPGs and I love competition :)

My first video game was probably Age of Empires. I may have played Myth II: Soulblighter the demo first though, can't remember.

My first mmo was Rakion International, though not sure if that counts because it was set more like an FPS game with rooms for stages or pvp. But around this same time I played Silkroad Online for awhile. The grind was insane in that game. Lol "kill 1000 death flowers," repeatable x3, Lv 36 quest.

I started ESO in 2015. I love it as its the main game I still play.

Edit: Forgot to say why I like Mmos. It's mainly because you get to connect with other people, share stories and work together to accomplish goals. Also love pvp, testing your gear and skills against other players can be very challenging but fun!

I loved that game. My brother and I bought it at pawn shop in the 90's. After about 15 hours of playing, we saved and went to bed. We woke up to find that the cartridge wouldn't save. We left the system on for 4 days and played in shifts to beat it. :) The good ol days.

My first game was probably Pac-Man, Centipede, Space Invaders , or Zaxxzon

My first MMO was PSO (Phantasy Star Online) for the Dreamcast and my second one was ESO Xbox/PS4

The first vid game I owned was SMB1. Chances are high that I played something before, maybe Kid Icarus on NES.

I play ESO because I played Skyrim for a long time and I will eventually return to Skyrim or another TES title in the future.

I play another MMO next to ESO, but it is not similar to it, it isn't an RPG or HnS type MMO.

Flight sim on an Amiga500 and few other games. First online game was R6 Rogue Spear, loved playing against the aussies most of us on 56k modems. Then BF1942 and onwards, WoW for as long as it took to have an alt roster full of 85's then I quit after stupid panda exp.

Why do I like MMO's, very good question.
I'm a loner by nature but I still like real players around me, the dynamics of unpredictability.

My first MMO was Ultima Online. My friend got it the day of release and loved it so much he talked me into buying it the next day. By day 3 I was PKed and loving it lol. I haven't stopped playing MMOs in over 20 years.

First Kudos, first time in a while I read all the posts to this point.

First game - Coleco Telstar (pong)

First real game - got two at the same time (Donkey Kong and Berzerk - Atari 2600)

First game with someone else over internet (well direct dial-up) Hexen

First game over internet with strangers (Unreal Tournament)

First MMO - Elder Scrolls Online

Why do I like MMOs well considering this is the only one I like ( I did try a star wars one) I would say that the world is more alive. Also if I decide to join friends I can do that as well.

I'll also make a confession that I'm afraid that after playing ESO for so long that when Elder Scrolls 6 finally does come out, I'm gonna feel disappointed because it will seem like a dead world compared to what I've grown accustom to.

Sorry I felt like embellishing a bit on the topic.
