[Question] What should we do with OLD JC writs?

I have 10 of them in my house storage. They are TOO expensive (3-8k per single voucher, gg) to do.
So the question is: Will they be transformed to new JC writs in the future?
I expect official answer from ZOS team.

you can probably just keep them as a keepsake , like when ZOS maybe those funny rune stones or when the wabbajack was lootable.

I sold mine for 1 gold in guild store So now its someone else's problem.

Zos already answered this and it was the changed would not be retroactive.

With that it would seem more likely that not that any future change will not he retroactive either outside of prices in the market dropping.

Sure, that would be in theory the fair and professional conduct, but in reality can you imagine? ZOS would come here in the thread saying:
"yes guys, it's right, we messed up and you won't get nothing, those were supposed to be rewards for your time invested in crafting but they are just trash and you can forget the rewards, it's just trash".

Because that's simply the true and nothing else.

A studio I would define good, would have provided a very different one: "yes guys, we messed up and apologize for the inconvenient, we are going to replace the old master writs with surveys (or something) to give you at least a reward for the time and effort invested in crafting"

Obviously this should have been declared from the very start the problem has been reported (but often they seem to take a very loong of time to even acknowledge) to prevent people selling those writs for 1g and people farming them at stores.

And obviously this shouldn't have happened in the first place, since whoever just marginally know the crafting system of this game, would have noticed it's not remotely worth to do those writs and the developers are supposed to know the game very well, not marginally.

That way in a couple years you can invite new players to your house and be like, "You young whipper snappers don't know how tough we had it....."

I put them in the guild bank of one of my trade guilds to troll my guild master. She was not amused. Okay, so maybe she was a little bit amused, but also very angry.

Not my problem anymore. Worth it.

You're avoiding more than just the possibility of destroying a master writ. Jewelry surveys work fine.

I've had some luck selling them at around a quarter of the value of other writs... Last I saw on the forums they will not convert them to higher values. The post-updated ones (I'm on PS4) will still be garbage return on investment according to last pts thread I saw on it.

ZOS did provide an Official Answer in the patch notes, Writs will not be retroactively changed to the new values.

Personally, at the new values they are still too expensive due to the rarity of the upgrade tempers. Plus, I have everything I want from the Writ Vendor

I have three that are for over 90 vouchers from before the update. I was going to put them in the guild store cheap but decided I don't need that kind of bad karma. Since the change I got a writ for 62 vouchers and it still isn't worth doing.

True. It's also been avoiding compulsive behavior and gaming addiction (aka, refusing to capitulate to that feeling of "having to" log on to my crafter every day and do every single crafting writ for him). Honestly? Not giving a crap has been nice. Not that I was particularly compulsive about it before, but it gives me an extra excuse to not bother.

Sells the new ones for more, they are still not cost effective compared to other master writs.
As in its cheaper to throw them away and buy some other writ and do,

For the old writs, I would like to buy the Merethic Resin for 10k (NPC Mystics) and transform it into a scroll furnishing for my house.
