Do you use poisons in PVE?

This is about first: the rare to non-existent need for poisons in pve and
Second: the Snakeblood passive is written as if there are potions out there we can make that, were it not for the 1 negative effect, they’d be op. Either they need to come up with some potion formulations that need this passive or change it to something else useful.

I would only use poisons on a TG or DB character - and I don't do either of those ever. So - nope. The ones that I get from crates, I change into gems if possible. Otherwise.... they get trashed.

I use poisons on characters that like them; usually crown poisons (since they drop in free crates) or "slow them down" poisons which I find in dungeons.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

How do poisons benefit a TG or DB play through? With the blade of woe damage I don’t know how a poison can improve on that.

Edit: do you mean thematically for rp purposes?

Some Dark Brotherhood Contracts have an optional objective to eliminate the Target using Poison. Weapon Poisons also work if you don't use any abilities that do Poison damage.

I personally don't use Poisons in PvE cause then what's the point of Enchants? Though I have been told it's good to use Damage Health poisons on a Tank for some self healing.

This. Poison on Nirnhoned bow was better.
After the patch, Infused bow with poison enchant is better because of a high uptime of Hail, Caltrops and Poison Arrow, the poison enchant on the bow proccs on cooldown which also means a high uptime of "poisoned" status on the target.

Yes because you would totally use PvP poisons in PvE. You totally wouldn't just use a Damage Health + Ravage Health poison for added DPS before the patch.

    Totally.

Why disease though? It's not like it's going to defile in PVE and as far as I know, it's proc is not a DOT. Seems like flame would be better, especially if you are using the lover mundus, since it basically gives you nearly as much spell penetration as the concentration passive.

Heck yeah. More damage is more damage, and alchemy mats are uber cheap if you pick up every one you encounter as you travel around doing PvE stuff, and even cheaper if you have a bunch of toons doing writs. Poisons make an enormous stack, too, so you can stay poisoned for a long time without much pack space.

I have a character who would use poisons, but I just can't justify the ongoing expense of making them. I'm pretty hardcore when it comes to sticking to and developing my character concepts, but there are limits. Slapping two poison glyphs on her bows is sufficient for the character concept I was going for. She'll sometimes use poison against enemy combatants in Cyrodiil, but her puppeteer isn't much for PvP.

I've always loved poisons, keep them on most of my classes but my Tanks in particular seem to benefit the most from them, oddly enough.

I use Minor Vulnerability poisons and let WoE takes care of Crusher for me, which really seem to help the group out a lot and it's not like I'm missing out on anything useful on my frontbar enchant, so long as I keep WoE up, everything is pretty much fine and with the change to how enchantments work in WH, it's actually a lot easier than before since my poison was on my Destro bar and would would rarely be used unless I off tanked since I'd be mostly on my SnB bar for most of a fight, switching to apply a buff or WoE mostly located on my Destro Bar. Now, I can have a charged 1h weapon to help WoE proc status, while also keeping Vulnerability Poisons on CD much more reliably and Crusher just going off of WoE as my Destro enchant.

    That's just me though.
