Should i Buy the gold edition even if i have the base game. will i have everything transferred over?

So i am wanting to buy some of the dlcs as i already have the game on the ps4 but then i stumbled upon the gold edition which costs 10 pounds which comes with 4 dlcs (1 i have already). the problem is, will my character progression carry on if i buy this version on disk for the ps4? i already have a few crowns already on the game so will that carry over too? i know this is kind of exploiting the game a bit but has anyone done this before as i want to know if this would work.
