Patch download problems

I started trying to download the patch this morning at about 7 am. I got 20% of the 2073 MB, and the launcher said it "lost http connection". When I paused the download then restarted, it started over with 2073 MB remaining. Again at 20%, lost connection, and this time when I restarted it gave me a crashreporter pane which refused to accept input, so I had to use task manager to close the game, crash reporter and launcher.

I reinstalled the game, and tried downloading through steam (I have bought both versions) because I downloaded 10 GB using steam after first installing the game without any issues at all. All going along fine, except steam quit downloading at 169 MB left - and when I paused then tried to restart, steam also even after verifying the previous amount of download, when it got to 169 MB remaining, then flipped back to starting the whole download again.

I don't have anything but satellite, and very limited bandwidth - I can't just keep redownloading most of 2+ GB. I don't know what to try next....

If the patch download is freezing or getting stuck, please try the following steps:
    1. Open the launcher in administrator mode, you can do this by right clicking on the launcher and selecting "Run as administrator" from the drop down menu.
    2. Go to game options. This is located in the middle of the launcher under the news feed.
    3. Cancel any update in progress.
    4. Return to game options and select settings.
    5. In setting change auto update from always to never.
    6. Press apply.
    7. Select the cog wheel up the top right hand corner of the launcher.
    8. Select the megaserver you want to change to ( EU or NA)
    9. Once this is complete go back to game options and select check for updates. This should start to patch the game for your new server.
    10. If it does not patch select repair from game options and wait for the repair to finish.
    11. Once the repair has finished select check for updates.

Hi there! Thanks, I'd tried all that yesterday afternoon, having used google to find a similar post from a while back. No help, but since I'm on satellite I just finally decided it was beam congestion during "prime time". Got up this morning at 3, and had it downloaded and patched by 5:45 - late night free zone. Obviously I'd rather not have to wake my 84 year old husband at that hour, nor get up myself, but hey - it is what it is.

Game plays great, no issues at all today for me - other than 999+ redlag of course, but I get around that. Thanks again!
