Why is ZOS getting rid of the lootable wardrobes in Traitor's Vault??

I've just learnt that people were relogging and re-looting and it was hurting the market... Hmm... Maybe this should have been made impossible. :(

But now I'll be much less excited when I'll get the Artaeum daily delve quest. :/

Farewell my lovely Traitor’s Vault. Even though you mainly gave me lockpicks, I *will* miss the common style stones you also provided—I need those for my daily crafting writs on my 8 to 12 characters. I started visiting you when Summerset launched, after hearing that T.V. was *the* place to go for Alinor purple furniture plans. Sadly, this was not true for me, although I did score a few blue ones. Mostly, though, the recipes I took from your wardrobes were white furniture recipes (white?? Yep) and green food recipes that I’d already collected in 2014.

Still, I will mourn the serenity of running round in a huge circle and rarely seeing a mob because they were instantly annihilated by other lockpick farmers.

Will I ever return to you, Traitor’s Vault? I did the quest and got the skyshard, but the same might not be true for all my many alts. Perhaps I shall avoid the wardrobe room—sadly, it was but a shadow of itself on the PTS.

    Adieu!

They want you to buy furniture from CS.
This is one of those times I'm not sure whether or not this is satire. I'm rather hoping it is...

They did the same thing in Clockwork City with the Factotums dropping furniture recipes before they pushed the stuff to crown store. So it seems like a pretty spot on statement to me..

600K per recipe isn't a market. It is a massacre.

they are releasing a alinor furniture pack soon

If this is true, it's ***. I've been a loyal player since I began playing 2 years ago (I know, not as long as many), and I enjoy looting, it's a relaxing way to end the night. To sit there and arbitrarily decide to take away some of the fun of the game from players is just plain wrong. Focus on the real issues, as stated above, and leave us to our looting, it doesn't affect anything other than I suppose your bottom line (which I guess is the real issue at hand for you). I wasn't even aware there was a respawn issue and have been just doing rounds, logging on and off of my alts. That being said, looks like I won't be buying the furniture pack. I'm disappointed.
Oh, yeah, please remember that when it comes to your bottom line, players actually enjoying the game IS your bottom line. Take away our enjoyment, and we leave. A good portion of us come on for the social aspect, and playing the game WITH them is what typically brings us back. They leave, we leave. Please don't mess this game up anymore.

I will hit it on each alt _Once_ a day, as I do my writs.

People who spend hours and hours just to farm plans are IMHO the bigger issue.

NOT saying YOU do that - but people will go and spend hours in there just relogging over and over.

I think if people didn't do that, these kind of things wouldn't get nerfed so much.

IDK though, I am probably wrong. I don't understand most of the things they do.

Ugh, That would get boring. Hell no I don't do that, I've got better things to do and a guild to run (not that that really takes much other than helping folks and running some events). I would just do one round on my alts before bed...and not even every day.

that being said, I don't care if people want to spend their time doing that. More power to them, but at that point, it stops being fun and more like work, imo

this room was absolutely NO different from Hleran or dreloth tombs in Vvardenfel when it comes to both number of lootable containers and traffic they got contantly exclusively with a purpose of looting them for possible furniture patterns.

I totally agree. Before they announced the nerf, I was very often the ONLY person in that room. Traffic didn't actually pick up to what I would call unusual levels until after the announcement - and even then, it wasn't bad maybe 5-6 people, most of them lingering outside and not impedeing the quest content at all.

did they actually say they were getting rid of it or just nerfing it ?

Because of a bug that made them respawn the contents quicker than it was intended and people exploiting this rather minor bug.

I had no idea it was a bug and therefore an exploit or I would never have looting those closets. Omg I feel so bad now. I'm just not that sort of gamer I tend to report bugs or anything that looks shady. When things like this happen then we should be notified somehow so we can be aware that it is an exploit so many people would not be aware of this. I just thought it was where all the Alinor recipes were born since I only ever found one purple furnishing recipe while pickpocketing on my first day or so in Summerset. I never got a purple or blue furnishing again until the closets. The balance of recipe drops in the world is out of balance. But at least now the closets drop appropriate loot to the area and that makes sense to me.
