I do - in fact I think the same one - bluetooth xbox one.

The only real downside, in my opinion, is it locks you into the Gamepad UI which frankly, sucks. I totally feel for console people who have to have that all the time. I switch to kb/m when doing stuff like banking and guild traders.

Plenty of gamepad players on PC. Some of them are quite good.

Personally, I find it too limiting, but I recognize that not everybody can manage a keyboard and mouse, for any number of reasons.

Get a program called Xpadder and disable the controller in the game. You can download different profiles for the controller whatever works best for you or you can configure it yourself. They do charge a few bucks for it but though ,it wasn't too much a couple iof years back when I got it but it is worth it IMO.

I have shoulder issues too. I got a MagicHold keyboard stand that attaches to my chair. It puts the keyboard right at hand height. This removes all strain from my shoulders, elbow and wrists.

Agreed! I use DS4Windows to map my PS4 controller along with a couple of worthwhile addons... Advanced Disable Controller UI and Arch's Enhanced Gamepad. I use KB/Mouse for accessing inventory, skills, etc... but use the PS4 controller for movement/combat.

I used to use XPadder before but found that DS4Windows works much better and you don't have to jump through as many hoops to get it to work; the only thing XPadder does better is if you want to 'program' your controller buttons for multiple actions.

For over a year I used a PS4 controller for ESO, but my hands started hurting after prolonged use. I couldn't imagine playing without it, since I like using the touchpad to weapon swap with my thumb. I decided to buy a Razer Raiju primarily for the ergonomic design. It is by far the best controller I have ever used. I no longer feel any pain in my hands even after a full day of running dungeons back to back and I really like the 4 extra buttons that I use in place of the typical D-pad buttons.

    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I use Xbox 360 controller for my PC game play. Keyboard and mouse is more precise but I have issues with knowing where my fingers are in relation to the keys. I have struggled with this for a long time typing class in highschool was a nightmare because I could never get touch typing down at all.

So with a controller it is easier for me to press the correct button but I do still have some issues just not as many.

Even outside of laggy Cyrodil I feel like the response time is somewhat off on skill button presses. I have used both wired and wireless with the same experience. Why does the gamepad option still have to be in beta?

I use an Xbox controller for fishing while in BG queues or watching TV. The thought of actual end game combat with one of this makes me want to go jump in a lake. I dont know how console people do it, and can't fathom putting yourself at such a disadvantage on PC. M+KB is a vastly superior interface system.

I am a huge fan of left hand game pads like the Belkin N52, Logitech G13, or Razer Orbweaver (used them all). My back and shoulders are pretty garbage, and I am able to get my left hand in to a very comfortable position.

It isn't a disadvantage for some people though. This is what most keyboard users don't seem to be able to understand. Some of us can't use keyboard and mouse and not out of lack of trying. I played wow for several years with keyboard and mouse, not once did it feel comfortable it was always sloppy and awkward for me. Controller feels natural and thus, I personally do better on a controller than I would on a keyboard.

TL;DR We are not all the same.

Eventually just push the keyboard more towards the middle of the table - I have mine about 30cm from the edge, so I can comfortably type for hours without to have any problems with wrist or shoulder - most of my lower arm is basically comfortably resting on my desk.

I agree that gamepad is not a disadvantage, but for a different reason.
Keyboard and mouse is great for typing and clicking things on a set position user interface, but when it comes to unpredictable and variable speed movements it is far better to use a more "analog" control method like a gamepad, or more ideally VR.

I, personally, was fairly decent at WoW with keyboard and mouse and very good at City of Heroes with keyboard and mouse, even though I grew up on gamepads where I also was quite skilled. A gamepad was still far more natural for me to come back to once I started having issues with my hands and the position of a keyboard and mouse was not doing me any favors. I actually was able to game on a keyboard and mouse far longer than I should have been able to thanks to a trackball mouse, which allows for that precision and also allows just spinning the ball for speed so the motion is more analog. ESO benefits from gamepads with the analog sticks because of its required aiming in action combat.

Gamepads are just better for gaming because they were designed for it. Keyboards and mice were designed for desktop screens and typing and not even ergonomically for any normal keyboard; they're all based on old typewriters which were about cramming as many letters and functions in as small a space as possible, forgetting ergonomics and usability. Gamepads have buttons positioned based on the natural resting position of a person's hands, so they are as easy as possible to activate commands as quickly as possible without pain for the most part.

VR is the way of the future, which I look forward to because aiming by looking with my head and eyes is the most natural and accurate aiming mechanism there is as well as gamepads still being used for quick easy command access.
I'm just using gamepads until that becomes more common and I can afford it.

I am PC with xbox elite controller. You need third party to make the paddles useful. I use reWASD, which makes the controller very configurable, you can even use the little 1, 2 switch in the middle switch you between two completely different button, thumb stick, paddle settings.

I am also the first to say the elite controller is not worth the money and the hand grips will expand and fall off within a year and they seem not to be covered by guarantee - be warned. But still the best game pad I've used.
