    Looking fly.

In terms of actual utility, they hold storage chests (very useful), crafting+transmute stations (useful, VERY useful if a guild stockpiles stations attuned to various crafted sets) and various test dummies (extremely useful).

They can also hold your NPC banker/merchant/fence assistant, but the capabilities of those are still limited.

Seriously, they work as a free teleport and now you can get storage chests to put in them, they're handy if you've got an overflowing bank/bags. If you've got the merchant and banker assistant you can place them there too. You get a free Inn room in your alliance and with some DLC so you can use those if you don't want to lay out any hard cash.

I'm not 100% sure but the storage chests work as a special furniture, and there is a limit in number depending on the size of your house.
Big houses can have more special furnishings placed than small ones.
Plus being a subscriber allows you to put more things in your house.

There are 4 large storage chests (60 items), and 4 small storage chests (30 items). That is the maximum amount of home storage possible at this time.

For some talented people, houses provide a creative outlet for their decorating skills. I have seen some absolutely gorgeous creations that people have made out of houses and their furnishings. Really incredible stuff!

Most guild halls are paid by donations from all members. It would be expensive to get that many attunable stations on your own. They make great one stop locations

Or maybe the IC sets that's about it but good way to show off every single set though

Depends on the house. The free/3000g apartments only allow you to have one in it. The large notable homes you can have all 8 that are available.

Very, but thankfully only in gold. <3 love the crown gifting trades, without that I could never justify the real cash cost of the mundus stones(52k total crowns).

Anyone on PC/NA is welcome to visit. Port to Friends House just need to put in my at name @RunsWithBullcrit and then choose Coldharbour Surreal Estate.

Halls with all the crafting stations are wonderful. Creating all your master writs in one lump without having to leave a house and then turning them in in one huge flood of xp is pretty damned awesome. There's DLC sets that some people can't access as well as transmute stations and then there's mundus stones and target dummies both single and raid size, it's nice to have that option.

aside from the crafting, tho, mine are just for ports and pretties. I likes Sims. I like ESO. I like brining Sims *into* ESO. And though I *rrrrreeeaaaaalllyyyyy* wish they'd up the damned limit I can have on my "clutter" (all those bits and bobs of a living, breathing home) I mostly just RP that each of my characters has a home and tailor it to what they like and what they'd do when they're at home.

One last thing they do, and do very well, especially if you have the PortToFriendsHouse addon, is allow you to teleport to places that your character doesn't otherwise have a wayshrine for. I have actually outright told several guild members that if they get that mod, they can use my large number of houses to get most places they might need to get to in game, without needing a guildmate nearby to get there.
