ESO Drops should be for all Streamers

I don't know any player, who enjoy when get delay on actions, which equal to ping 999+.
Or such things in gameplay as 3 month of Sloadscreens in a raw. 3 MONTH...
Why so long? i understand priorities are priorities, but their values should be changeable in real time.
Or year of vIper, red mountain, widowmaker, tremorscale, which showed itself especially toxic for the gameplay when non-cp battlegrounds came to us with morrowind. Or, 2 years of cost poisons... @ZOS_GinaBruno when 30% cost increase will be reduced?
Anyway, problem is not in what manner players say about problem, but how fast real issues are resolving, which produce such reaction.
And, when u see that streamer say something brutal, it's natural reaction.
And I'm sure it's much less expressive than reaction on such things of raw player, who play without viewers.
And it's extremly nice way to get fast feedback, not only way of promotion of game.
U should support streamers without separation based on their politeness.
if u give Drops enabled based on this now - Please stop, it can kill your own instrument and will not help if game will not be fast improved after critical mistake had done.

A lot of focus is being put on the streamer, but what about the viewers? A streamer with strong viewership but without drops isn't great for the viewers. If ZOS are selecting streamers for drops enablement based on favourable commentary it would suggest the streamer is being shunned, but it is actually the viewers who end up with the raw deal.

On the flip side, I once lurked in a stream for drops but had no interest whatsoever in the stream. Despite the extra viewers, it can't be great for the streamer just to have a load of lurkers for the sole purpose of getting a drop.

As a viewer, I want to watch the streamers I like and have the same benefits as those who watch streamers with drops.

I don't understand the big deal, it's not like they're good drops. They're Ouroboros crates, which aren't associated with any crate themes or seasons. They don't have any apex items or high end collectibles, only consumables.

This thread leaves me bewildered. Are you all saying that one can receive “drops” —which I guess means Crown Crates (?) by watching certain gamers stream on Twitch? Why? I’d rather play the game than watch someone else play it. Why should people get crates for *not* playing ESO?

Sounds to me as if it’s just a way for ZOS to reward streamers who essentially advertise the game for them...in which case I guess it makes sense that they would reward the gamers with the most positive attitude.

To me it makes no sense that ZOS would enable drops for "all" streamers. Essentially supporting some streamers is no different then N i k e paying a sports star to use their gear. No company in their right mind would sponsor someone who does nothing but bash their product. Companies also limit the amount of people they sponsor.

Now if the viewing public only ever watched streamers who ZOS does not support/sponsor then they may start to sponsor that person. It is good that people come to the forums to support the streamers they like.

PS apparently we cannot use a brand name on these forums no matter how unrelated to the actual game

True Dennis, I just wish others would have the option to have drops enabled too as long as they are positive which is what I meant to begin with sorry for not mentioning that in the first post

Well they are free gems and you can gain about 10-30 gems if your lucky per 5 crates if you get all 5 in the events that come up, also the chance to win the mount and pet too

Yeah the drop weekends make me do that as well, I can't run 2 streams at once since I have wireless and a crappy old monitor right now doh, and would have loved to watch the person I was watching instead no matter how many viewers they have 1-10000

I agree and I don't see what the problem is since drops promote the game... Quake champions has it for all 24/7 and this was a good idea because it gets people hyped about it

Fengrush did state in one of his streams as to why he does not get ESO supported drops. Do agree with you though. It would be nice to see drops on his stream.

ESO Drops should be for all Platforms.

    Fixed.

ZOS is working on that. The team wants twitch drops on the consoles, and the sponsored streamers are giving away torchbugs and crown packs for consoles. So, you haven't been forgotten, you're just behind the curve, which is unfortunate, but getting the Ourboros crates to consoles is a priority.

No, it's not that. Anyone who thinks @FENGRUSH was singled out because for "speaking his mind," has clearly never heard @Alcast speak. The problem is more about how and what Fengrush said.

Why isn't @FENGRUSH one of the sponsored streamers? he consistently gets 500 plus people in his stream watching even while he is competing with people who actually have drops on yet I have yet to see drops enabled in his channel (except when its enabled occasionally for everyone). Fengrushes pvp content is quite enjoyable and to people who may tune into eso to see what its about may be turned on to this game by his good quality pvp content. What isn't exciting about him 1vxing people in cyrodil from an outside perspective?

zof0mlnw3hrd.png look at the other two streams he is up against, the other two streamers has crates enabled yet fengrush has 600 plus people who are there not for the crown crates but are there for his content. If you want to turn people on to this game fengrush is one of those people who can show them how great pvp in eso is (when It works ofc)

Cuz ZOS doesn’t like real talk about PvP balance/performance. For whatever reason PvP is a sore point for them. We can only speculate that they’re incapable of fixing it and just don’t have the foresight/understanding to bring balance to it. It’s my opinion that if any of the devs do PvP that they do so infrequently and arent trying to push the limits like the better PvP streamers and players. The result is that they don’t understand the core issues with PvP combat and are fine “balancing” around Zerg gameplay. And they prefer to direct people towards PvE which is generally functioning a lot better.

It so cringe that zos let’s console streamers be in the stream drop team yet they can’t even get the drops themselves lol. Talk about being zossed..... also it’s nothing about performance and nothing about talking *** about zos. Alcast and console streamers like techandjunk have already proved that.

I wouldn't agree with this overall, but from what I know, PvP is actually a pretty small portion of the community on the whole. I mean, around 1:8 players (based on PS4 trophy unlocks) ever steps foot in Cyrodiil (though, I suppose this could now mean Battlegrounds as well, because I'm using the Alliance Recruit trophy as my indicator.) That's actually an improvement over when Battlegrounds were Morrowind only, then the number was closer to 1:10. The hardcore PvPers? There aren't a lot of those guys. The same holds true for endgame progression players. I mean, the completion rate for Halls of Fabrication (not even vet, just completion), is 0.4%, 1:250. Or put anther way, for every team that completes nHoF, there are ~2988 players who will never clear it (possibly never attempted it.) This isn't that different from Emperor, where the completion rate sits somewhere south of 1:1000 players. Which, still means there's a lot of Emperors out there, but PvP is not the main draw for the game.

Just curious but has anyone received a random drop? Watched about 10 hours of streams with the twitch drop enabled and did not get anything.

You won't receive any potential drops until Monday or Tuesday. If you do receive them, are likely to only receive 1, with the potential to receive a maximum of 4, but likely you will only receive a single one, even if you watched for ten hours.

Thank you for the response. That bit of info doesn't appear to be on the ESO page.

I do not know how many streamers get ESO drops, but I do know some streamers have few watching them and are probably not a place to put ESO drops.

In the end, I have do not know of anyone who has ESO drops. I tend to play the game rather than watch others play it for me.

I may be mistaken, but drops are rolled based on the number of streams watched (there is a time component to count as, "watching" a stream; not sure exactly how long, though), not by the amount of time watching. So bouncing between Tech & Junk, @Ninja614, @xynode, @Inklings and @Alcast (briefly), means, I'm probably going to see four crates on Monday. Though, I'm not sure. But, if I'd just camped in Ninja's never ending Bloodroot Forge stream on Friday, that'd only be one crate, even though the stream ran for 8 hours.

Zos generally seem to use drops to boost streams they personally appreciate (i.e. not honest comments on horrific issues like lag).

Only exceptions would be those few who criticise in a softy-softy manner rather than unpfront stating how unacceptable some issues are.

No matter how much other content he may compliment, if they dont bend over for isdues like lag, they wont get drops (unfortunately) as zos knows that allows full casual softy complimenty streamers to grow past them with drop farmers.

100% was thinking the same thing

Fengrush isn't getting drops because he is upfront with the glaring issues that this game has, and makes rant videos explicitly vocalising this. I don't think ZoS appreciates it too kindly.

Doesnt help that he went off of AOE caps for being a reason for lag and in turn causing every ESO Live stream to be a cancerous mess in chat. Then when they removed AOE caps nothing changed.

But by ZOS selecting streamers that they feel better position the game in a more favorable light on Twitch, whether its from a community aspect, game play aspect, or content creation aspect, it helps keep s-lords from getting any attention they dont deserve.

Pretty sure you can't get more than 1 a day so bouncing all over the place does nothing for you. Their description of watch your favorite streamer and have a chance to get a free crate is nonsense since you can only watch their favorite streamers or paid streamers. Some of us smaller folk that have very few watching get hurt the most since people pop in and leave real fast if you dont have the drops on. I do wish they would at least come out and say what their plans are with the drops. No mention of them for this weekend anywhere.

I'm speaking from a Biased opinion, because Fengrush is one of my good friends. But he definitely deserves to be a part of the sponsored streamers from Zenimax. I am no way trying to diminish others who have drops or say they do not deserve them, I am truly saying he also deserves to be sponsored. He pulls in high viewers to ESO and always recommends the game to new players, he is free advertisement for Zenimax so it would be equally beneficial for Zenimax to sponsor him. Especially under the conditions that Fengrush has been with ESO for the entirety of the game, and has even met with Zenimax employees, and has a good standing relationship with most of the twitch ESO community. I just want to see ESO strive and Fengrush strive equally.

I suspect this has something to do with when he went off on Wrobel last year. I get it, Wrobel's job is to make us uncomfortable so we keep pushing ourselves, and to ensure we've got a challenge to work through. But, Fengrush went over the line, and burned bridges. I don't know if he'll ever be flagged for crates after that.

Yeah, I think there a pilot program, a weekend that was everyone in the directory, and then two weekends where it's been just the sponsored team.

I'm a little curious why @Tianlein isn't on the sponsored list. But, that's a different discussion.

Yeah I think anyone that streams ESO for hours a day should have drops enabled tbh, I hate having to miss there stream if drops are enabled since I can only have one stream open at a time with my wireless
