An extra mundus stone is very powerful but its not sexy. Like people ahead have said the 2-4 piece needs to be adjusted.
    2- max health
    3-max stam
    max mag
    4- recovery for stam/mag
    5- 2 mundus stones

A 3 piece set and a 4 piece set are still the recommended sets for tanks. Hist Bark and Torugs Pact. There needs to be a 8 and 9 piece sets that are better.

9 trait sets can be more interesting or perhaps have niche uses, but as mentioned above, all sets need to be balanced against each other no matter how many traits they require. It would be illogical to make them strictly more powerful as you would just remove the point of using anything 8 trait or lower.
This, its also extremely trivial to get some in an guild to craft 9 trait armor for you.
As I understand twice born star was mechanical accuracy level for some time. ZoS don't like one set to be bis for all magic and stamina dps builds.

By a show of hands, who’s running TBS on their meta builds?

    Oh... nobody?

Well noooooo crap. So, why is it a 9 trait set? Would it be too much to ask for you to revisit this set ZOS, and make it worth 9 traits? It seems like a fun, interesting, and DIVERSE set... but it’s just not enough to warrant using.

Perhaps a little love? And I’m just spitballing here... so don’t crucify me, but maybe something like:

    2 items: Adds 1206 Health
3 items: Adds 1096 Magicka and Stamina
4 items: Adds 129 Stam & Mag Regens, Adds 1725 Spell & Physical Penetration
5 items: Can have Two Mundus Stones

    Or same as above but:
4 items: Adds 129 Stam & Mag Regen, Adds 129 Spell & Weapon Damage

Out of all the ways I would have worded/approached this - that wasn't one of them. You sound like you just want a confrontation.

I think they need to do an Over haul on alot of crafted sets, Because right now the majority of them are pretttty usless.

Years ago this was a valid debate but not soo much now. Having to have x amount of traits unlocked for certain sets was just another way that the developers could artificially keep players playing when their wasnt a a ton of content. This again is a vestige of a different game but ZoS seems to like it still bcz the crafting grind last a couple of months.

The developers care less about making the best game and more about cashing in. Games over 4 years old and they have people still grinding for months maybe even years on crafting, horse speeds, titles etc...and in those 4 years we have like 8 new dungeons.

Shouldn't make 9 trait sets BiS by any means. ESO is not tier system based game after you hit 160cp gear. What they should do is make it niche set, works somewhere really well but not so great elsewhere.

PvP being the best example where it could have some use if it got some minor changes.

just cos something has a name like "horizontal progression" doesnt make it good or good game design. the better the item - the set- the harder they should be to obtain. e.g. master weapons, perfected wepons, maelsttrom weapons in the past. not sloads..... i call it- "making sense" . look it up.

Why are you picking on TBS when the real issue is that crafted sets in general are only rarely BIS? With only a couple of exceptions for niche builds (speedy stealther, true Pelinal's hybrid, etc.) crafted sets are what you wear in order to play the content where BIS sets drop. Even then it's only a couple of crafted sets.

Crafting in ESO is mostly about improving and transmuting the dropped BIS sets. It has been this way for a long time.

Never said it needs to be BiS. Said it needs a little love.

All I’m saying is (JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE GAME) the harder it is to obtain, the better it should be.

I love this “horizontal progression” advocates saying that’s how it has to be, yet in the next sentence say how not everything in the game needs horizontal progressio. lol.

The set (TBS) needs love. A little. Not a lot. That’s literally all I’m saying. There are plenty of sets that do... this is just personally the one I want buffed so I can use it and remain competitive while remaining “diverse”

    I’d even take:
5 items - 2 Mundus Stones (Both at 125% value)

TBS might not be metta but its a good runner up for DDs, healers and tanks. Metta sets are harder to come by and are role specific

Sorry you feel that way. That’s not the case. I didn’t grow up with participation trophies though... so, I guess I don’t take simple disagreements offensively. The only way this can be seen as confrontational, is if I actually believed the reader would be a developer, and this isn’t Reddit, so I know that’s not the case.

I still have a full gold set of this sitting in storage from back in the day.

I bet a DD could pull really good numbers with TBS + Relequen/Siroria. Lover + Thief Mundus.

You could have simply asked for twice born star to be buffed to be a bit more competitive. However, you're mixing two different requests by adding in that 9 trait sets should be better than lower trait sets, splitting the potential support for your proposal.

While I do agree that twice born star is slightly underpowered, I don't believe that it needs to be buffed on the basis that it requires more traits to craft it.

Would be nice if you could research/craft non perfected versions of dungeon/raid gear. They already use perfected/imperfected system now, so would be nice to adopt it to make crafted sets from other content.

Crafted Burning spell weave <Tradeable, but less stats - same effects>
Burning spell weave <slightly more stats>

Would make running older content not as bad as you could make a variety of 5 sets for alts. Unlocked after level 50 + researched all traits for that craft. 1 week per item to research.

Or at the very least crafted monster sets.
