Not sure how scattershot catapults are doing elsewhere, but have survived many a hit on Vivec without difficulty.
On Kyne, it's a different story. You get hit with 3 ticks and you're done (with most builds), as there is zero mitigation from CP marginal from gear/skills. Every other siege hits hard (even coldfire), but not like that.
