✭The very fact that ESO is not able to process a nonASCII character in their social interactions dialog is mind boggling. And obviously a bug as they are able to process it elsewhere.
To those people complaining about non ASCII characters being used - it's 2018, Unicode is standard for 27 years now. ✭✭✭The problem is not necessarily caused by the nonASCII character.
I do not have any nonASCII characters in my name but once had a similar problem when my character somehow was placed into two random groups at the same time by the dungeon group finder. After I finished the dungeon with the 1st group, the character still was placed in a 2nd group - that did not exist in reality. Support also was not able to help me, so I had to play alone for some time - until the next patch maintenance that somehow cleared the problem by itself.
Anyway, of course ZOS support should be able to help by at least confirming the problem and trying to fix it by renaming the character or resetting its state.0
