About These New Elemental Armor Pieces

I see these new flame, ice and shock gauntlets in the gem reward tiers now, does anyone know if they will eventually release weapons like this? Was lucky enough to get a resplendent sweet roll out of the free crates and I’d like to save up the gems if there will be weapons for gems.

There will be undaunted style weapons in the future. Kena, Shadowrend and Ilambris. I don't know if they will be in the crates, however. Probably the closest to your question.

There are motif pages in the crates for weapons. Not unthinkable with this premise that elemental sets and thus weapons might appear in the crates as separate motif pages too in the future. The gauntlets however are unfortunately nothing special. No animation or anything. I expected more from legendary tier, and it's also simply 3 recolors in that tier. Just a glove look to use in the cosmetic outfit system. I have the shock ones by the way. Don't really go together with other motifs either I think.

Yes I know that, most things in the crown store don't do anything special. But since I have 400 gems that I acquired for free, I figured Id see if any knew if they were going to release some cool weapon skins at some point in which case Id save the gems since I don't really need another mount.

As is mentioned here, there are unique weapon skins (that are not tied to a specific motif style) to be released. Some of these will definitely be available in-game without the requirement of real world money, but it is likely that some (or future weapon skins) will be released in the crown store, at least in addition to via other paths. You can get an idea by going through the options in the outfit station to see some examples of what's to come.
