How many Crowns-only homes have you bought?

    None.
    1)They're really expensive
2)They're too big and with a limited amount of slots its a huge issue. I could potentially buy a smaller 700 slot house or an empty plot of land, but those gigantic manors don't really interest me.

I saved up for my first house (Rivenspire one) I was really low level and it took ages.. I'm not a trader so I bought my second one with crowns (the craglorn one) and have decorated it myself and I'm happy with it but it is soooo dark!

I'm thinking about buying the Amaya lake lodge house because I play a dunmer and love morrowind as a setting. Don't feel bad about buying it with crowns because I work 5 days a week now and don't have the time to grind for money and play the aspects of the game I enjoy.

Most of these cost roughly the same as the Collectors Editions of the expansions. For me to spend that much on a virtual house it'd have to be something really amazing and I just can't imagine ESO's housing system achieving that.

Many of these I think are actually too big and open, I wouldn't know what to do with all the space, especially with the item limit. Torpal Hideaway and the Colossal Aldmeri Grotto are nice in that respect because you could easily leave large areas of it undecorated, but then unless you're the type of player who regularly hosts guild events or RP parties or whatever it's a bit of a waste of space.

I tend to prefer the smaller homes, even among the ones that can be bought with gold. But even then I find I don't use them that much, except as free wayshrines or to tweak the decorations.

None. I liked the Princely Dawnlight, but I can't rationalise spending that kind of money on an mmo house. Especially when I don't know how long I'll be playing. It feels like this game is designed around the crown store, rather than the other way around. My boyfriend has stopped playing, so I run around solo 100% of the time.

I'm not against cash stores, but I think most of the items in the crown store is overpriced, and making things like crafting research stupidly long in the hopes that people will cave in and buy overpriced research scrolls is an aspect of this game I dislike.

But yes, housing, though nice already swallows a chunk of my gold, it's not taking my real life money.

None.. Housing in ESO is pointless..

It costs far too much, has limited amount of space and items and only a few players can come see them at a time.. And well honestly the amount of grind you need to craft crap for your house is too damn high..

Housing just isn't worth the time or money sink.

Although I really like my cozy Cryodilic Jungle House, I see no reason to buy any of these crown store homes. Overpriced, like most of the items in the store these days. I just hope the money they make off these homes finds it way back into the game. Mainly in the form of base game updates, QoL, bug fixes, etc.

spend up to nearly double the price for a new AAA game, for a reused in-game asset? nope. drop the prices by at least 75% then we'll talk. also the one that i wanted (the sanctuary) is no-longer available.

I've only bought one, and that's the Princely Dawnlight Palace.

Before I bought that, I'd had Humblemud as my first primary, and then that was replaced with the Exorcised Coven Cottage when it became available. I liked how I had decorated both of those houses, but after a while I felt like I wanted something bigger.

Then I saw the Princely Dawnlight Palace. There were a few things that sold me on this one: the swimming pool, the pond, the oven in the kitchen room, and that fantastic fountain wall in the main hall. I bought it as soon as it came out, decorated it in a day or so, and it has been my primary ever since. I have no intention of buying another Crown only house, since that was a 14k Crown house and 14k Crowns is $130 here.

None. Bought my only house with gold and as of yet haven't maxed out the capacity. Also i must admit the poll shows an overwhelming amount of people who don't buy them. Maybe ZOS will reconsider the marketing strategy for these.

I missed the Pariah’s Pinnacle - not sure if I would have bought it but I do want a house in Wrothgar.

Wish they would release a little house in the city I could buy for gold.

They really need more housing in Wrothgar, I would love a nice medium size house in the city

I was the most tempted by the Gold Coast manor, because I very much want a home in the Gold Coast, but the price, and the size of the home turned me away.

I really wish a small/medium sized home at a reasonable price would be made available in the Gold Coast.

None right now. I used crowns to buy daggerfall overlook when the housing was first released, have several small apartments/houses all gold purchases and no exclusive limited houses yet, did want erstwhile sanctuary though but didn’t have the cash at the time.
I plan on getting the Aldmeri Grotto though (in a better financial position than when erstwhile was on sale). Don’t care about people’s opinions on spending cash/crowns for these limited-time houses, it’s not their money.

Spent 0 Irl $ on houses, only bought houses in game with gold, they need to have more rewards in game like mounts, pets, houses, etc in game you can get through achievements for you know actually playing the game instead of having to spend more $$$ ontop of what you wanted.

What else was I gonna use my sub crowns for? Clown crates? HAHAHA! Yeah sure, maybe if I develop some sort of brain injury I might. Spending my accumulated crowns on a manor was pretty much the only sensible thing to do.

Besides, housing is the only aspect about the game I really enjoy anymore. PVP is rot, the quests follow the same tired formula (which they have to, since this is an MMO and that limits the amount of dynamic stuff you can put into a shared world) and everything else is a massive grind.

Well... To be fair, housing is a huge grind too, but at least the end result is enjoyable for me.

Ever since housing was introduced, it was clear to me, that I would buy one of the mansions eventually - just as soon as one that didn't irk me was gonna be released. There was also the fact that I really wanted a home in Hew's bane... So when Dawnlight rolled out, I ended up buying it with my sub crowns. I did end up buying some extra crowns from a sale too, since ZOS decided to release two limited time furniture backs that I really really wanted, but the house I bought with sub crowns.

I though about furnished vs. unfurnished for quite a while, but eventually went with unfurnished since the unfurnished version contained all the key new furnishings, and the furnished version came loaded with crud I would not really need and would just end up taking a lot of storage space. I could also craft most of them, and had bunch of unused redguard stuff sitting in my warehouse. So in the end I saved some crowns, and was able to buy couple of extra bits from the housing menu, that are only available for crowns.

And since I now have my "mansion", I have absolutely no need to buy another limited time offer home. Beside I have less than 1000 crowns on my account and am not sure if I will renew my sub once it expires in about three months. There is absolutely no way I would buy any if I had to buy crowns to get them. I might fork some real life currency if they come up with another must have furniture pack, but for homes... nope, not gonna happen. They simply are not worth the price.

Was excited to see furnishing in this game and then found out I'm not that into furnishing. No mention all of crown only houses are quite expensive. So far I only decorated my house with 3m dummy, 6m dummy, some basic crafting station like alchemy/provisioning and all of storage chests. That's probably all I need with it

I'd love to have a Classic sized home in Wrothgar. With snow and a snow garden. <3
Maybe something like Mournoth Keep. Just in a snowy region and with this cool wayshrine just in front of my door.
    :)
And I'd gladly buy it with Crowns. A Notable home or cave is just not for me.
The only Classic home offered in snow is Grymharth's Woe in Windhelm. Neither does it have a yard nor does it even have an outdoor deck or porch. :'(

In my opinion the Crown store has not enough variety in the houses they offer in the Classic category and sadly a lot of them are in less than favorable locations, too. So far the only real benefits of owning a house is that you can place your storage chests, your assistants and maybe a few crafting stations and a target dummy. And if you get very lucky you got a wayshrine close by.

All else is solely for your visual enjoyment, like displaying your pets, your trophies and having fun decorating a place to your liking. But there is no added functionality in this enhancing the QOL in the game and it often does come at a steep price.

That for me is the reason why I hold out on buying my 1st own house.
Maybe this winter season the ZOS Santa will give me my wish... there's always hope. ;)

None. I've bought several with gold, but get so frustrated with the lack of furnishing slots. I get about 1/3 done decorating and still have empty rooms when it says I can't put any other things in it. :( While I like the crown houses, I would never buy them because I'd run out of slots and then be all angry that I can't create the home I want.

I also find the "buy this right now because it's only available for 4 days" policy despicable, and don't appreciate that type of pressure in a game I'm playing for relaxation.

Houses were really fun at first, but now they feel like a chore... or an unfinished chore.
