Actually, it's probably the opposite. If they make more money on the game, they'll be able to hire more people, and will have the employees and the incentive to fix the servers.

For anyone actually curious, based on all anecdotal evidence, it typically takes about $1,000-$1,500USD to get at least one of those drop-only mounts.

Most people are only looking for one Radiant specifically, and get the others (and literally everything else the crate season has to offer) by accident in something like 300-500 crates.

I got a radiant apex psijic spectral steed in my free reward crates (for logging in each day) the other day. Didn't realise how rare it was until I looked it up on these forums.

Congratulations, OP, I'm glad you got the mount your heart was set on, because with radiant apex mounts there's not a guarantee. But most of all, I love the sweetroll. I know it's silly, but if we could do the opposite: exchange gems for a sweetroll, I would take that deal, because I find it so freakin' cute!

The amount of people judging OP on the basis of him spending money on crown crates is flabbergasting.

Do any of you people know whether he gives to charity? Or helps in other, more suitable, ways instead of dumping money into corporations (a.k.a. "charities") that waste half the amount on their own organization?

Is it his problem that at some point he made the effort to secure life circumstances that allow him to spend money like this, which those downtalking him apparently didn't?

How does participating in the modern times indulgence system of "giving to charity" make you a better person?

Horrendous. The PC crowd on a roll again.

Congrats! I got the radiant apex horse... but all I wanted was the senche. Which sucks for me, because I hate horses. I wish I was able to select the reward because the chances of me ever getting the senche are near impossible. Heck, Alcast opened 150+ crates on his stream recently and didn't get one. I just... oi. I want to swap it so bad. XD

It is a style and simply not worth the money IMO. If that is your type of thing, than you may feel it was money well spent.

I'm happy running around with my imperial horse from my initial purchase of the game at launch on PS4.

I do buy all of the CE upgrade for each chapter, but otherwise I won't spend the money.

In case anyone was wondering, I dropped 70,000 Crowns and the only Radiant Apex mount I got was the horse. The only one I was interested in was the ice wolf, so... yeah. I'm so ridiculously *** mad at Zenimax right now. This tops the cake for the most hideous thing a game manufacturer can do and I'm seriously considering taking legal actions over it. I'm not opposed to spending money on a game that I enjoy, but I am against *** odds like this, especially when they don't even post how low your chances are. I'm not playing a casino game, and it's uncalled for to treat it like one.

Not sure if you're trolling or not. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you are.

Anyway, I only read this thread as I was hoping the OP had posted an actual amount it took to acquire all this. If this is a common occurrence, that sweetroll is pretty much redundant too. I mean, if your aim is to get all the radiant mounts each season, then you'll acquire all the other items before getting all the hidden mounts.

I have no problem with the op spending his/her money however they choose. What I have a problem with is how utterly ugly and stupid all the apex mounts look in the game. The basic mounts look much better. But, to each his own I guess.

@Vraneon I’m not judging here I have a serious question.

    How much money was it?

Just in case someone was looking to set aside that much every season.

Some people hate what they can't have.

And some people hate it when the imprudent spending of people with more money than sense diverts attention away from REAL problems with the game. Why hire good coders who can release new DLCs WITHOUT breaking the game when you’ve got whales dropping “several hundred Euros” for cosmetic items?

I haven’t been able to play in Cyrodiil without hard freezing multiple times per session and having to exit the game in frustration since Summerset released on June 5, but hey, at least the OP got his shiny mounts! He can sit on them outside a city wayshrine to show them off, while I experience 5 FPS for 10+ seconds after porting to said wayshrine.

70,000 crowns would be 210 crates, right? Looking at http://crowncrates.com/ , it seems like the chance of getting a radiant apex this season is only 0.1%, and that's just for any one of the three. If you want the Ice Wolf specifically, it's a 0.04% chance. At that drop rate, to have a 90% chance of getting it you'd have to open 5755 crates. To buy 5755 crates, I would need 1,918,333 crowns. I can buy 21k crowns for £110 GBP, so for 1,918,333 crowns it would cost £10,048 GBP.

So I could spend £10,000 and still have a 10% chance of not getting the Ice Wolf. You actually got lucky getting any of them by only opening 210 crates.

That's why I was asking OP how much money he spent. He said he spent several hundred Euros, that's incredibily improbable or he's lying. And yeah, no posts since November 2015 until this, seems kinda strange. Part of me thinks that the ZoS marketing team can't be THAT scummy though, to pretend to be actual players and mislead them into thinking they actually have a decent chance of getting these mounts.

You are a pretty extraordinary player! Not many people are so inspired and consistent to actually achieve what they want, and you did it this way or another, nobody should criticize you about this decision, good job on supporting the jobs of ZOS employees isnt that right @ZOS_GinaBruno ?
