There taking a page from Black Desert Online. Have you seen the prices in there store? They sell the stuff at those prices as well. So, why not ESO? Be happy you don't have to buy PETS just to auto loot.

Yeah, the selections for me are pretty bad. Most of the stuff I like from these crates are things I already have, and it's ridiculous that the tables are diluted with a million separate motif pieces, and three versions of the same gauntlets that don't do anything, that are nearly identical to one you get free just by doing the Summerset quests. Why do they think this will somehow make us want to buy more crates? Just the opposite.

On a positive note, though, I like the Psijic mounts and the cute gray mastiff.

It is how the game lives. ESO doesn't have subscription, they need to make money off something. Other MMOs like WoW only have a few mounts and non-combat pets that you can buy, however you need to pay monthly subscription and have to purchase every expansion that comes out because it is mandatory to play the game.

Other games that share the same payment model as ESO, for example GW2, also have a large amount of cosmetics locked behind a paywall. Unfortunately it is how non-subscription MMOs survive. You can't expect a company to run itself without any profits.

However with that being said, they could add a couple different mounts tied to achievements or the like, that aren't horses, because the only non-crown store mounts are basic looking horses.

I'm subscribed and have the expansions. They should make it droppable at least for the eso+ users who have the expansions. Even some people who meets this extensive requirement would buy because it would be easier to do so. I'm not spending 50 bucks min. for some cosmetics and I shouldn't have to.

I am sure Zos constantly evaluates the prices in the crown store and it's offerings. They do so via that revenue stream.

You could be right, but it makes me wonder since i have not once seen a price drop on anything, unless its a sale for a few days, then it goes back up.

@f047ys3v3n you are entitled to you opinion. I find it interesting someone wants to pay more by buying multiple pages, than pay less for buying a full motif.

Books were 300 gems previously now you must pay 25 per page. Now instead of multiple motif books, we have multiple pages of one motif.

Yep that sounds awesome to me to.

Agreed, Having to buy a Motif set in pieces is ridiculous. Not a Single item I would consider worth my money. Wouldn't be surprised if this is their worst sale yet. Hopefully they will cut this Crown crap fest short and have a fresh set of items for next month. No imaginably not.

Selection sucks he crates have 1 motif broken up in 13 pages or 200ish gems. Theres stuff in there they took out of store like 2 months ago sothis sucks either sell the crap out right or lower prices on this crap ive not been this disappointed in a company in ages cash grab crates with terrible rng on top of a game with terrible rng bad combo.

I have to agree, crown crates are not the best, BUT at least I could get that black lion I wanted before and couldn't get. So there's that.

As for the crown store items - horribly expensive. Motifs for 5k... not worth it, especially when you can actually find them in game. That latest time-limited nightmare lion looked cool, and had it been at least 2k, I might go for it. But for 3500 - you gotta be kidding me.

Besides them diluting the rewards with motif pages, I actually like the crates this time. That lion is absolutely beautiful, if I don't get him in the free crates I'm gonna buy him with my saved up gems the spider pet is adorable! The scorpion is awesome! (Clearly I love arachnids) the wasp is cute. But I guess honestly besides the pets the mounts they are kinda crap. Half the outfits are literally just rehashed from like what, two months ago? Some are outfits I bought fairly cheap. A TON of bs motifs. I just honestly live pets and mounts, and they kinda make up for it imo.

They're running out of ideas, I think. And also know that the whales will literally buy anything. You can see them pile into topics to defend the crates saying "I can spend my money on whatever I want." It's true, but it's kinda sad to not be able to see when you're being ripped off. Though I guess when your wealthy, and $300 is pocket change, you don't have to worry or care about being ripped off.

I don't want the book at all. I'm just happy to have blue things that I can just gem at will instead of getting stuck with some eyelashes or some such stuff that I can't gem.

Swtor CM = Crown Store, but atleast in Swtor you can actually sell them on vendors, face to face, or mail sales

Yeah I was pretty disappointed, I was ready to go buy a bunch of crates this time. I haven't gone all out for a crate since the Wild Hunt and Storm crates. Having Morrowind come out and then the Wild Hunt came out, that was such a good time. I spent so much money. I prefer those mounts way more than the green whatever that thing is. Summerset is such a drag to me, I'm not impressed with any of this stuff.

I havent liked a single mount of any crate set except for the super rare smokey senche. I honestly would rather take my family on a weekend vacation than spend hundreds on a very slim chance to get a cosmetic.

The only thing I wanted in the last ones was the Elk. I bought 1 crate and got enough gems to buy it. This round I wanted the grey Mastif and I got it in my free boxs.

Another month of me spending zero dollars on this game. Ahhhhh it feels good.

Iirc Motif books have been 200G, not 300. It now costs more to get this full style than it did when you could buy full books for only 200. And b/c it's in gamble crates and not a direct CS Motif, you don't even have the option of buying Crowns to purchase it directly.

I usually want at least a handful of things from each Season of these things, but this time I'm just gonna stick to getting the 5 free crates at the end of this month and save my sub Crowns for something else. Once the new style I can never remember the name of drops in the CS, I'll need muh Crowns to buy it anyways.

ZoS is gonna lose big time in this crown sh*t. Dude they are like free! I can easily gift it to 100 people wth.

One misses the days where ZoS brought crown exclusive motifs for 2k crowns.

Well in the other hand, as someone else stated above i'm kind of glad that ZoS is helping me keep my money lol. I'll just use the gems i stacked and pass it.

I personally think the green senceh looks like a gummy bear with the wild hunt aura. I am a sucker for senche mounts but I can’t in good conscience buy/ride that. Maybe for the lols but that’s it.
