Zos - Communication to us customers

Why we don’t get official Informations about the Problems on Consoles? We want facts what’s going on and what is the plan for the future? We don’t need statements like: „we investigate“ etc. The biggest problems are there since ages in this game, but summerset patch makes it even worse. Many of us are ESO+ Members, we support you with this Membership. So support us and give us the Informations we are need.

- you know the issues?
- You have a solution?
- When will it be fixed?
- What you will do for your ESO+ Members, which can’t play this game correctly at the Moment?

Biggest Issues at the Moment:

- Freezes
- Invisible PvP Enemys
- Wallglitches at keeps
- Dashboard kicks
- 2 Minutes and more Loading Screens at Login
- Stucks completely in Loadingscreen at Login
- Heavy Armor HP scaling is broken.

This issues are at all console plattforms and all servers. PS4 - Xbox - EU - NA

The time is come to communicate with us.

I think regarding the general slowdown issues they've said they're looking into it (ESO Live maybe), Jessica has a couple of replies up in a thread about issues since yesterdays patch.

Wallkeep glitches you're best sending bug reports or giving a PM to ZOS_BrianWheeler with full information on what's happening and how it's done so he can get it looked into.

Heavy armour HP if there is a specific bug with it the put a bug report in, if it's just balance issues (and working as intended) then you could speak with some of the class reps about putting it into their non class specific feedback to ZOS.

Other general issues I am not sure other than bug reporting it with as much information as possible. The more reports ZOS gets on an issues (serious reports, not spam) the more visibility the issue has.

Your forgetting all those amazing rendering issues.

Spawning under the map, gigantic holes in the middle of Summerset, Mournhold and so many other places. Rocks, building walls and going invisible, if you move your camera. The amazing flickering issues with buildings in cities, that almost give you epilepsy.

But keep buying crowns and don't forget to subscribe to eso+.

You forgot to add in the "update loops" that the broken launcher gets stuck in and crashes from every patch so some players can't even initialize the game itself.

I fully understand the frustrations regarding this situation, because i feel a lot of the same way to be honest.

Is it so hard to make an announcement post just giving as much information as they can and frequent updates on that as they can? Pin it and lock it so only devs can post so it doesn't end up a 30 page monster.

Community Engagement isn't just the occasional reply to threads. Making it blatant you're communicating and on our side with this would go a LONG way to easing the anger and frustrations currently here on the forums.

Right now large portions of the game are simply not playable and a single response on page x of thread y is not cutting it as sufficient community engagement.

They are releasing DLC and chapter in a really frequent way and there are no fixes or anything regarding the biggest Problem in eso. The lag.

Stop with the white knight thing. The problem we have is not the issues, it's the response. Nothing in life is glitch free but when the same issue happens with each DLC you get frustrated and when the answer is "we're looking into it" you lose hope and stop paying for it. You would never take a car to a shop that messed something up each time, you wouldn't go back to a restaurant that messed up the same thing over and over. Then the mods swoop into threads to ask if we tried troubleshooting because for the love of Talos how could the problem possibly be on the ZOS side. We have been putting in bug reports and tickets and posting for years so please don't tell us be patient, we have been. I had my ESO + refunded after the CWC debacle, what a pain in the butt that was but I wanted to make the point that if I'm paying for something, it should work. I started my + subscription back up after the CWC issues were worked out but here we are again going through the same thing. I don't know if a lot of people cancelling their subscriptions will mean anything to them but we're going to try.

Wow. I just need to quit my whining now cause you just gave me flashbacks to my early military career as a maintainer.

Have a tough intermittent failure and can't quite trace it because the boss is asking for an ETC every 5 minutes and sending us to fix other airframes anytime we start to get someplace on the main issue.

    God I hated those days.

As someone with bad customer service experience I have to voice my opinion, and that is that the initial response from them is 99% of the times very poor.

They don't read past subject lines and just send automated responses.

They don't care and will not begin to so long as people support their incompetence when they should boycott instead.

That's what happens when addiction kicks in - many spending money what they should not be spending on (base game from Bethesda directly) because in the end it worsens everything for all as it may encourage them to resort to even more aggressive, predatory marketing practices in the future.

Humans, however, aren't the smartest and definitely not most social / empathetic beings because if it were the case there would also be more solidarity with their fellow human beings.

Do people want communication or action, because they're not the same thing.

Communication happens, they state they're aware of problems, they update when and where they can. It's not that they don't communicate, it's that people don't like what's said as they only want to read "we fixed all the things!" and if ZOS has nothing to report in an update on an issue then all they can say is "we're looking into it" or "still looking in to it".

If you want action and it's not happening, yes that's frustrating and I am with people on that. However the best thing to do with getting action is work with ZOS to solve the issues. That means more bug reports, more information and helping them as much as you can to solve the issue.

Which is solved by people who can recreate them submitting bug reports with information how. You've literally just posted the reason as to why submitting bug reports (with good information) is important and should be done in your attempt to try and say why it's not worth doing.

As for bugs not being fixed it depends on the bugs and how critical they are rated, ZOS does fix issues and we've got enough patch notes showing that. However it depends what the issue is, can they recreate it, how easy is it to fix, does this impact many people or one person etc.

What bug has been present for 4 years ? I can't think of any.

Lag isn't a bug. It's a performance issue. ZOS have been working on it since launch and made a lot of progress - although it's admittedly still not enough. They've been communicating about that. But they cannot communicate about that all the time. Especially when 95% of people are still convinced that buying more powerful servers would do the trick, while the issue is much, much more complicated than that.

How many tickets and reports and videos do they need? Stop trying to defend something when they have been given more than enough evidence that the game is broken.
*edit* don't even start on communication. we send report after report and ticket after ticket and yet this happens every single time. we get no response on multiple threads from ZOS so don't lecture us about communication when they are even worse at it.

Your Honor, my client was seen by a witness at an event with 2000 other people...he obviously cannot be at 2 places at once therefore he is INNOCENT!

Your right, he cannot be at 2 places at once, the video, the DNA and the eye witness testimony of his own mother must clearly all be mistaken....
