Login issue through Steam persists

Despite what the message at the top of the forum says, it doesn't seem like the issue was actually fixed. First time I attempted to log in, I got the same problem (hanging at "requesting character load" for two minutes or so and then booted to the title screen without an error message). Then, I followed the announcement's recommendation and restarted the client. So far so good. Logged in, finally. Until I got out of the dungeon I was stuck in due to this problem. As the loading screen came up, a minute or two passed and, once again, I was kicked to the title screen without an error message.

Support isn't being very helpful, having failed to inform me that the problem was on their end. The last message I got from them was three days ago (and I'm not gonna buy that they don't work on weekends cuz I got my forum login yesterday, Sunday, through support). This is my first time trying to play ESO at all and on top of that, I got the game as a gift, so it's not a good look for Zenimax... I didn't have any luck playing for more than five minutes on the rare occasion I manage to get online, and that since Thursday!

By the way, if an agent finally decides to have a look at my support ticket, the code is 180614-002502. And for the record, I have already forwarded ports. I did everything other users have been mentioning as solutions since 2016, but nothing does it. The few times I'm lucky enough to get past the character selection screen, I have to watch out for loading screens of any kind lest I'm kicked out again with no luck getting back in.

Edit: Despite my playtime (10h of trying to fix this to no avail), I'm gonna help my boyfriend with a refund appeal cuz this is ridiculous. Going through the forums, I noticed that this has been an issue for quite a while and Zenimax doesn't seem to be doing anything to solve it entirely. This is not a headache I need.
