You can, I have done it, been playing steam-less every since. For over a year now.

Maybe share how you did it so that the folks who are frustrated can do the same?

It cannot be done unless you bought the game 2 years ago

I am pretty sure if ZOS can cough up a good lawyer they can bail out of the contract. If they can prove Steam is the culprit here, it's basically breaching of a contract from their end...

That would heavily depend on the contract's language. Also the part where it would probably result in Steam pulling all Zenimax titles from the platform... Yeah, that'd be really worth it.

Did you all who cannot open a ticket? You BOUGHT the game. You OWN it, they should be able to help. Or if not, create a new account and link it.

1. ESO gets pulled from the Steam store.
2. All the players who buy the game will be actually able to play, and give their money to ZOS.
3. ZOS ends up having more money because Valve doesn't take their cut from the purchases.
This is a good outcome from every aspect.
Why dont you guys just play the game from eso64.exe in the steam folder? I have all my purchases available and there is no need to log into Steam
