So satisfying that they cant say that phrase anymore. Thank you tod for shutting those people up and us true elder scrolls fans that will play elder scrolls no matter if its single player, an mmo, or a mobile game will be unbothered by them.

Now we will just hear the constant "TES VI is going to destroy ESO" nonsense from now until launch day.

    Here are a few predictions.

Zenimax will get blamed because TES VI will have a crown store and there will be loot boxes

The faithful (aka nutters) will scream because it won't have Skyrims feel just like Skyrim didn't have Oblivion's feel.

The same "faithful" will scream that it isn't a true TES game because it will have a multi-player component.

All in all you will just just as much whinging on these threads as you already do ....perhaps more which is pretty sad.

Don't worry about that. The mods are locking any thread that references TES VI so fast you won't even notice them!

TES VI won't even register to the Skyrim 2 people, they thought(some probably still think) there would be a Skyrim 2.

Doesn't look like the Elsweyr rumors where true though, that trailer didn't look very deserty.

Sadly, I read the facebook comments. The ES 6 whine crew is still going strong. Most of them are either not aware of ES6 or it just flies over their head and they still whine that there isn't an ES6 right now! Buncha mudcrabs.

Don't worry, one of the mods will come along and shut this thread about ES6 down much much quicker than ZOS handles the BOTS in this game because they know they can't compete with a real Elder Scrolls game and are likely a little butthurt not a whole lot of players are excited about Murkmire and Werewolf Dungeon DLC announcements.

I think TES6 isn´t a competitor to ESO or ESO to TES6. Because I can´t see why people no more play ESO when they play TES6. They are different Games. May be it give less activity on the first Month in ESO when TES6 is released. But than.. i think ESO will be normalized.

On the contrary: TES6 can support ESO and reversed. They can arouse interest to play ESO or TES6.

I think it is pretty obvious that games like; ESO, Fallout 76, and the new mobile game Elder Scrolls: Blades, and any other titles related to the two major franchises are to serve to tide over the people asking for more of those titles.
    I mean think about it.
3 titles that are related to their big money makers but are not quite single player RPGs, that will receive constant updates and support for years to come. Keeping those want anything that feels like Fallout or Elder Scrolls game busy during long wait periods for the next major title.
Skyrim Special Edition has third party content support through the modding community and Creation Club.

That way when they have more room to make new things like Starfield.

I was really interested in ESO because it is an Elder Scrolls title.

It was always stupid, considering ESO and Skyrim were in development at the same time. So are Legends and Blades. Bethesda has no problem working on and releasing different games with the same IP at the same time.

This whole real vs unreal TES game is more than a little childish...the IP is certainly big enough to support both.....and nothing but nothing will keep the edge lords from still showing up on the forums to feign mock outrage over ESO for whatever it did this time to offend them. :-/

As for the DLC...dunno my guild is pretty damned excited about it...of course "we're real ESO players not just pretenders waiting on Skyrim2 :-P

See what I did there? lol

Agreed. Zenimax as the parent company of Bethesda Softworks LLC and ZOS wouldn’t allow one of their game products cannibalizes each other. It would ruin the sustainability and the Company image as a whole. I believe ESO and TES6 will support each other vice versa. What makes me curious is Todd Howard mind in the Company long term strategy for the Elder Scrolls franchise... ES name is legendary same like the Fallout franchise. Let us look at the wider perspective

Despite our differing opinions on Argonians, I could not agree with you more! You have no idea how many times I heard people say that! And as someone who also plays WoW, I also kept hearing people complaining that Bethesda did to the Elder Scrolls what Blizzard did to Warcraft.

I also agree that a true Elder Scrolls fan would play any Elder Scrolls game...unless there was some random bootleg for the CD-i that you'd only know about because a JonTron video. If that somehow existed, even as an Elder Scrolls fan I'd simply admire it from a safe distance! XD

By the Eight, I hope Bethesda will not apply Fallout 4 mechanics and writing approach to upcoming Fallout 76 and TESVI. I still refrain from preorder Bethesda games for sure. It's a shame, when modding community should upgrade their games to playable state. It is my personal feeling about Bethesda games which supports plugins since TES IV, and I know people, who feel just the same. They should learn from CD Project RED and Obsidian Entertainment this time.

You mean the ‘mega’-servers we all play on? xD

Battlegrounds were locked behind a pay wall so nobody could do them. That has now changed, give it a bit of time I’m sure ppl will be doing more pvp. Apart from that cyrodiil is always packed, often with a que timer, so don’t really know where you got any of this info.

So, the fact that we won't see an actual original TES game on the current generation of consoles means nothing? The only new Elder Scrolls game on the current gen IS ESO. That was the next Elder Scrolls game. The only TES games we have had this gen will be Legends, ESO, and Blades (am I missing any?). They said Starfield was next gen, and that after that is TES VI. So, we are probably looking at 2021-2022 for TES VI, over a decade from the last entry. If anything is taking time away, it's Fallout and non TES games, but, Arena (1994), Daggerfall (1996), couple of other games between, then Morrowind (2002), Skyrim (2011). They got ahold of other games, and started work on various projects, no longer coming out so fast.

I was 17 with Arena, 19 with Daggerfall, and 25 with Morrowind, then 34 for Skyrim. But, it will be 12-14 years between Skyrim and TES VI. Kids in their mid-teens that played Skyrim will be in their late twenties when playing the NEXT one. And you seriously think ESO and Fallout stuff did not cause that? Not exactly a series that people grow up playing anymore, it's more a game that people remember, and now they have a sequel coming some years down the road. In a world where we get a 'new' (and I use the term loosely) CoD and Battlefield game every year, going 12+ years between iterations is kind of a push, and clearly shows they have a lot on their plate. So, yeah, I think it's a bit ridiculous to say that all of that other stuff didn't play into it.

Oh, and notice, the next Fallout is basically an MMO with tiny limits on players per server? They have discovered that if they make an MMO, add micro-transactions, they make a ton of money, and can keep updating that game, gives them longer to work on the single player games. ESO was designed to be an Elder Scrolls game to hold people over for a long time until they got another TES game out. By making their two big franchises into MMOs as well, they can pump out tons of other stuff (like Legends, Blades, etc) and, I would fully expect in the years after 76, we see a card game, a mobile adventure game, etc for Fallout. Kind of surprised we don't have something like Shelter for TES, yet....

Anyone that had paid attention knew ES VI was still on the table. It had been mentioned during the past year.

I found it humorous, and telling, that someone created a thread in these forums tonight stating ESO was preventing ES VI and that was just an hour before #BE3 mentioned it. LMAO.

To those saying it is not coming anytime soon. Obviously. Lots of work needs to be done. Games take more than a few months to develop.
