As much as I enjoy going around overloading people for 20k-30k, I think overload is overperforming too much at the moment and needs serious nerfing. A good start would be to not let it be affected by empower or Queen's Elegance set; classify the damage into a skill or something, not a light attack. This will also remove its ability to proc weapon enchantments.
Seriously, I got hundreds of millisecond 25k+ damage ganks in like 5-6 hours of gameplayl. As funny as it is to see 30k HP bars go from 100% to 0 in an instant, its kind of ridiculous that such a thing is possible. Right now overload ganking is not so widespread, highly suggest doing something about it before a ganksorc apocalypse starts.

A smart one actually, don't forget how zos stripped everything from Templars.

Only works on noobs, those unaware, or those low on resources. If you don't like it, stop using it.

Not true. I have stream ganked almost every pro player with that build. Even Fengrush when he groups with other 4 players.
But I got bored with that build. Too easy to kill and doesn't bring the same satisfaction as killing someone after a real fight.
Still, asking for nerfs is like asking for close air support from the death star.WaltherCarraway wrote: »GreenSoup2HoT wrote: »to actually see a sorc wanting a nerf to their own class, i thought id never see the day

@Pelican This is the forums, leave logic and any sense of balance at the entrance. Also vids are more explicit.

Remember, all you need to do is dodge roll or block and *gets Rune Cage'd* Ah dam***.
@Lord_Dexter Blobs tested an OL gank build on a 3k crit resist, capped spell resist, 29k HP DK below, check 10:20 for yourself:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-cPRixbceE

- Update 23Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus
The problem is not overload per se, it is more how stealth works in this game.
Players can literally not see the other player and therefore can not react fast enough. (Thx to miats nerf)
Also the counters to someone sneaking in a open field in cyro is almost zero.
If they nerf overload, something else will just replace it. (asylum bow, heavy attack,incap,.....)
