Are Jewelry Master Writs worth it?

    No
No because of jewery crafting being new I don't want to spend my very few mats on the writ. In a few months, maybe, but I am sceptical.

So far, I have received one legendary jewelry master writ.

Both JC master writs and max tier regular writs are not worth it whatsoever, 275+ max tier writs and counting and only 2 legendary grains so far

I got a master writ for 22 vouchers for an Epic ring.

    lol

    Yeah, nah.

That's just a waste of a storage slot. Not only am I NOT doing the writ , I am seriously considering just deleting it on principle.

I totally hit No but it says Yes...anyway

No, I'm not even Level 50 yet and just based on Bazaar prices and the grind needed, making a Legendary for a writ of any value isn't worth it. They made JC way to grindy

Nope. I got a 100 writ voucher that requires legendary item for a whopping 100 writs.

Someone calced it at around 1.2 mil+ mat cost to make.

Compare that to: <On the market right now>

    https://us.tamrieltradecentre.com/pc/Trade/Detail/450594063

<Trade details: Craft a(n) Rubedite Helm; Quality: Legendary; Set: Armor Master; Style: Assassins League - 100 writs>
    Priced: 60K

Even with nirnhorned trait it isn't that much. Even if you have to purchase the motif:

    It is roughly 3-5K gold

Mat cost of golds if you buy: <gold temps>
    48K

Roughly estimate 113K gold if you bought the motif.

A lot better than crafting a single gold ring which is roughly: 800K just to upgrade to gold. Even when prices drop it still won't be worth it due to difficulty of obtaining items vs other crafting which makes JC master writs basically toss away.

    Not even a little.

The craft cost is 10x or more the cost of a comparable writ in any other craft.

To be fair, we did call this back in PTS. ZOS just didn't give a ***.

I'm really upset how they did the whole craft. Why could they not stick to normal temper drops why did they have to add in 10 raw tempers to make 1 refined tempers is just over kill.

Not only is it over kill but there is just one place to farm the mats and with a ton of players farming it's not easy even to get to 200 raw jewelry mats. On top of the small amount of nodes the summerset map is small.

    How to fix this issue
    1. Change the damn tempers to 1 green blue purple gold equals 1 temper
    2. Much higher writ voucher amounts
    3. Nodes should be everywhere but only for the players that have the "chapter"

Until these changes I'm just going to save them for later on and hope they do a huge change to the craft maybe in a year or so.

Yeah, basically it's number 2. Jewelry writs need to spit out somewhere between 60 and 1k vouchers to be viable.

I love how all the people that voted "yes" have done it accidentally. For anyone that legit voted yes, I'm interested in hearing how these writs are currently worth doing in any way. 8 people couldn't have all hit the wrong button accidentally.

I'm not so sure. I was in an ICP pug last night where the other group members had a hard time with flipping the switches in tandom. So... I guess... it's possible?

There's master Writs for JEWELLERY, how do you get them. I'm level 47 jewellery and only need one point into engraver and have yet to see any master writs for Jewellery, and knows 6 of 9 traits too.

JC master writs are in the same category as the provisioning writs that require perfect roe. I'm not using 2 perfect roe to gain 8 vouchers....

If the amount of vouchers they give would be multiplied by like 10, then they’d possibly be worth it after prices stabilize. I’d estimate roughly 3-4 months till jewelry crafting mat prices become relatively stable.

    I voted no.

I have a feeling that between this and the problems with crafting Alinor furniture, there was a missed material balancing meeting somewhere. The materials needed to craft items in Summerset seem way off of what they should be.

Right now the most profitable thing you can do with a jewelry crafting master writ is to go right click -> destroy and then type "CONFIRM" when prompted.
This creature called a songbird. What a devious creation! This winged nuisance erodes sanity with its incessant chirping. What a brilliant form of torture!

Writs for every other craft are an order of magnitude more profitable.

If JC Master writs were the only way to ever get vouchers, maybe they would be worth doing...someday. But as it is, I can’t see ever doing one for any number of vouchers. If I needed vouchers I could do a writ for any other craft for a tenth of the cost. They might as well not exist, unless giving a player the feeling they’ve just taken a shot to the privates was the intention.

As the title asks, it there any point to crafting purple or gold jewelry from the number of writs offered?

I will instantly destroy it . No buyers. Only waste of inventory space.
