Suggestion: Change Warden Companions

Cool idea, but I think the difference between a combat and a non-combat pet should be visually very clear. There's enough confusion already with the various scamp pets.

I half expected this when I got the ability to change my bear to an icy gray color. I presumed they would offer to sell more styles of pet but they never did.

I’d like it if the summon lines were alliance themed. The current one is very EP which I get since it was released with Morrowind, but it’s my least favorite part of the Warden class.

Agree. I've been playing with the idea of making a new Warden that is a Wyress of the Wyrd. Having different summons that fit with that would be amazing rather than the Morrowind themed stuff.

Wow I never paid attention but you're right. Shalks, cliff-racers, netch. Doesn't really make sense when you think about it. Why would an animal companion type mage/fighter only have EP/Vvardenfell creatures? It's too late to change the skills I assume, and is it even possible to change the appearance of the shalks/cliff-racers? Obviously it is for the bear because they released that different colour bear. A "forest" theme would be cool. With a hawk instead of a cliff-racer, maybe tiny bird for netch.

And even a desert theme! With those digging lizard things instead of shalk, harpy instead of racer.

Haha I wish. But it would be nice. God my dream come true would be a "tame" skill. Where instead of just a bear you can tame animal companions and they just have the same damage. Kind of like Guild Wars and Perfect World International. Except I think the Venomancer pets had different skill sets.

How cool would that be? Any of the medium creatures could be your companion. Oml running around with a crocodile desperately sprinting behind you xD

Except knowing Zos it would most likely take them like 2 years because people would complain bout why other classes don't get this. Dragon knights could get a cold fire effect on their abilities, templars could have a dark version etc,

However I would love to see some kind of other animal instead of the bear and for the other abilities as it would be better for rp purposes and would make more sense because having a khajiit with shalks and cliff racers doesn't make much sense

Lion, tiger, bear (oh my!) , wolf, panther... it would be nice if you had an option of 4 or 5 pets to cast. Preferably nothing too ridiculous.

While we can't remark on the viability of the idea, or promise it will be used, we think alternate Warden companions sounds like a ton of fun. We can definitely see the appeal of having a lurcher, spriggan, or wolf as a companion, and as @AndrejLeo pointed out, this is an idea that could be applied to just about any class and it's abilities.

I have two Wardens now one Magicka (Breton) that I took to 50 and have a senche theme going on with his mount the Tiger Striped Senche, his pet is a white Senche and if I could have the bear replaced with a Senche I would pay for that.

My stamina Bosmer Warden I just started playing will be mostly a mix, he rides an elk and the moment and has the new Gryphon pet. The bear fits for now but it would be nice to do a wolf theme, make him a werewolf, wolf pet and wolf combat pet.

I just thought of this - what if there were packs with animals from different alliances? For instance, the bear could be replaced with a Lion in you are a Daggerfall Covenant supporter. Just some food for thought. I think that being able to choose what animals you want to replace would be cooler.

playing today through some quests in Bangkorai I stumbled upon a group of Wyrds I believe they were called who used wolves as companions. At some point in the quest line I too got morphed into a spectral wolf. Was fun, but then I had the thought of why wardens, as beast callers / beast masters can't have the option to choose from multiple animal companions?

You could even have daedra themed ones for those necromancer customers or reskin Sorcerer pets as well.

A Wolf Pet sounds nice for an Active Ability and Execute in addition to a White Skin for the Bear.

AD warden should get gryphon instead of bear!
