Weird in-game-mail about a present by ZOS

I got a weird in-game mail with the title "A thank you from Zenimax Online Studios" (translated from german) that told me about an e-mail about a present that ZOS wanted to give me. Never got a mail like that. Very curious.
Anyone else got something like that?

Nope, don't do it, phishing attempt probably.

Edit: Any official ZOS would have a very clear icon of the Z by their name... Plus I think they quit doing in-game game masters, could be wrong though. Report the player.

I dont think you should recieve any emails like that in game. Zenimax usually sends mails only on your real mail, not in game. Also Zenimax person should have the ZOS icon next to their name. If it didnt then its some fake.

youll never get a ingame mail from zos. a friend of mine managed to get a zos employees ingame name and whispered them and he got blocked instantly they dont want bothered ingame at all. so that is a fake in the highest degree

It has a symbol next to it that I've never seen before - like two speech bubbles crossing each other. Doesn't have any player name on it, can't reply to it or do anything else with it but delete it. Apart from the symbol next to it and no sender name, it looks like a mail from ZOS. Another thing that's weird - it stays at the top of other messages like for example hireling mails.
Very weird.

i wouldnt touch it cause they wont send you an ingame mail unless it has like preorder stuff hooked to it. and i think from how you said there is nothing hooked to it so i wouldnt even mess with that mail

Yea I don't intend to do anything with it (not there's really anything I could do with it ), but it's hella weird.

When customer support email you in game it looks a bit like you’ve described.

A game master similarly had a bubble next to their ingame mail like the one above so might be legit

According to Google Translate ZOS wants to send the OP something by post (in real life) and has sent an email about it, but they're concerned the email may have gone into the spam folder. The in-game mail is to notify them to check their email spam folder and to reply to the email if they've got it.

It also says ZOS understands it might seem suspicious and to email them via the official site or PM Gina on the forum for confirmation.

Could be a phising message, could be real. If you've ever entered a contest run by ZOS it could be real. I'd follow the instructions there and email ZOS (find an address on their site, don't follow a link in the email) for confirmation.

It seems weird to me that the email is in German even though your game language is English. Official messages that I receive in games are always in the language I have set for the game. I always get my emails written in German -- my game is in German -- even though my main language is English and even write feedback messages in English. idk

That smells fishier than the "freshly" frozen, questionable fish Gordon Ramsay once found in a restaurant.

I would just ignore it until @ZOS_GinaBruno or someone else chimes in. Hell, I'll even tag @ZOS_Wrobelord.

It is obviously a mail from ZOS support. Probably Gina or @ZOS_KaiSchober can help you out.
