Is this normal?(Jewelry Crafting Writ question

Hi all, I am new to crafting in general.

Every time I complete my jewelry Crafting writ My enchanting levels.....

It's a bug... it was reported to them on the PTS and they didn't fix it before launch. put in a bug report in the game.

is it leveling your enchanting as well as jewelry or just enchanting?
can't check as i'm still waiting for support to give me access to summerset and jewelry crafting

That would explain the horrible grind. Of all the crafting lines, enchanting took the longest for me to complete. This one may put enchanting to shame.

That would be my guess. It was the grindyest. They then added a penalty that makes is so at lower crafting levels you don't get full xp for deconing high level gear to make it even more grindy.

It's not grindy at all, you need to deconstruct roughly the same amount of items as for blacksmithing, clothing and woodworking.
The other crafting skills have the exp cap at lower levels as well.

The only grindy part about JC is getting the upgrade mats and to a lesser extent trait stones.

Guessing they atleast fixed the surveys for JC though since I been getting a couple not many out of 15 max tier dailies a day. I probably have like 8 total since day 1 of nearly all max JCfers doing writs since then, and also 2/10 lesser tempers since then as well so I'm guessing they majorly effed some droprate up there because no droprate should be that bad, especially at max tier writs where its supposed to have a better droprate than tier 1

If it's the Enchanting grind from when ESO was first released, then that was an agonizing grind before they changed it. I think they intended to make jewelry crafting as long as possible. I'm on console so won't have summerset till tomorrow.

Only the lowest level writs (pewter) do, all others only give you enchanting inspiration.

Has anyone noticed that when you hand in the Jewelry Write, the Blacksmith Chest pops open as if you were delivering a Blacksmith Writ in addition to the Jewelry chest?

I guess this illustrates that they reused existing code rather than coded it fresh!

Ye they fixed the surveys pretty quickly on pts, think it was third patch.

There are at least five other threads about this issue, going back to PST discussion about jewelry crafting pre-release.

FYI: The JC writ inspiration issue is confirmed fixed (tested ok for me) in incremental patch 4.0.9 on June 11 (PC/NA). The patch for consoles may be another week or two.
