Let me open with my situation. 3 weeks before Summerset dropped for PC, I bought Morrowind for $29.99, thinking its a good time to catch up. 1 week before Summerset and they are advertising that I can get Morrowind for free with prepurchase of Summerset. What the *** *** I thought.
Now, many stores like walmart or Canadian tire will honor a sale price for 2 weeks before and after the sale because not everybody can make it there or see the flyer/advertisment, as a way to keep customers coming back happy. Thinking ZoS to be reasonable and customer-focused, I reached out to support to see if there was something they could do, as I felt cheated that my 30 bucks could have been better spent. I wanted to pay the difference in price for summerset, and get the summerset + morrowind combo. Not too much to ask, IMO.
They basically told me "too bad", and said they cant alter purchases or credit accounts.
Im posting this on the forums in case others are in a similar situation and want to complain as well, and to vent my frustration at what I feel to be a *** way to treat customers. I have played since the beta, paid full price for the base game, even had a plus account for a few months.
I think customer support should be able to alter access to content in order to better serve customers.
