Switch from Steam to PC Edition

Hello,
I have been looking around everywhere and I can't find any useful information on the subject. I would like to transfer my game from Steam to the regular Standalone PC edition.
My main reason is that the Steam version requires double the harddrive space for the installation process, because it downloads the setup files, and then unpacks them. Also, I was not aware I could purchase the standalone version last year, and would have preferred that from the start.
It is possible to make this change?

I am in the same position as Nakruff from the linked topic. There is no "next" button if you answer that your account was linked to steam more than 7 days ago. I cannot seem to find any place where I can file a ticket. Is there a way to file a generic support ticket?
