✭✭✭✭✭Because they now do a chapter a year and we dont need seven classes in the game by 2020. We didn't even need the warden but ZOS wanted to go big their first chapter to help differentiate it from the other DLC. Now that they have set the precedent that one DLC a year costs extra, they really can do anything they want and call it a "chapter"
The only reliable difference from a chapter and a DLC is that a chapter is when ZOS wants you to pay more money and not get it with ESO plus.11 -

✭✭✭✭✭Well the Warden was originally going to be a base class, they held it back for future content. They probably had plans for it a different way back when it was still a paid subscription model, before switching over to DLCs. Summerset gets us Jewelcrafting that is locked behind a paid DLC that will probably open to all when the next Chapter/Expansion comes out.4 -

I agree, Warden always seemed like it was meant to be released with Orsinium to me, considering the skills (Bear) and sets available there., especially the Maelstrom sets... Winderborn.PS NA

Argruna✭✭✭I'd rather see new weapons than classes. Oh let's introduce a class and cause balance issues just when everything was starting to even out.
I'd like to see wands, spellbooks, polearms (god I'd love a halberd), etc. That'd make me so interested in checking out people's toons again. NB tank duel wielding batons? Sorc healer blasting spells and topping people up from a book? Templar dps going all out with a scythe?

In terms of the class, that was created during closed alpha before the PC launch and delayed to last year.
It’s as if the things they were working on from 2013-2014 were all broken into very small paid content so they could seemingly add content every 90 days
