Purchase question regular to collector digital..

So my son wanted the digital upgrade so I bought it for him (his account naturally). He has now changed his mind and wishes he'd have gotten the collector's version instead of the regular. If he was to go purchase the collector one now, will he be charged the full 40$ for it or will it discount taking into account he already owns the regular and only charge the 10$ difference?

The Summerset Digital Collectors Edition Upgrade would still cost $40 even if you've already purchased a digital upgrade version of Summerset.
