So we finally got confirmation on what constitutes a master crafter and it is not 9 trait...

I used to see so many different arguments on what constituted what a master crafter and I am rather glad they finally put the ground floor on what is a master crafter and let us know there is something beyond just "master" crafter... grand master crafter. "Should you earn this new Achievement, you'll unlock the Grand Master Crafter title and the incredible Skyforge Smith Hammer Outfit Style."

The GMC Title feels a little forgiving given how you don't need to research every single Nirnhorned trait and don't need every single motif currently in-game (I can only imagine a nightmare having to re-disable the achievements and title when new motifs are added) but it's still enough effort to warrant the accolades.

Afterall, collecting every single motif dosen't necessarily make you a master crafter and Nirnhorned certainly isn't the optimal trait for alot of equipment and builds.

I am hoping the Skyforge Hammer outfit will add to the collections and not be exclusive to your grand master crafter, considering my main crafting character is a mage (the title will be more than enough for them whereas I'd like a toon to get to use the hammer.)

Atm, I think pre-Summerset there are 60 (Worm Cult being no.60)

It's not, it's any 50, including basic racials/blues.

I also note that, like any other crafting-related perk (mastere writ chance) or title, literally no mention is made about number of furniture plans known.

Did the furniture crafters of yore attempt a coup to become lords of the crafting guilds and get exiled for their insolence? Are furniture crafters seen as the illegitimate children-who-shall-not-be-referenced-in-polite-conversation of "REAL" crafters?

My guess is cos Furnishings are tied to the other crafting skills and crafting resources and don't have their own skill line. The reward is being a homeowner ^u^ (or ya know, the Lord/Lady title... even though that's more tied to rich real-estate than crafting the swolest sofas)

last I checked there is such a thing as being a master furniture crafter in each crafting line. Check your achievements and you can see you need to know a certain amount in each to be considered a master furniture crafter in so and so.

Worm cult is motif 60. The motifs 58 and 59 will probably be scalecaller and fang lair, but are not yet in game. There is one named motif called "clockwork style", I think it's 53 or 55, that cannot be acquired as well.

I currently can make every motif that in the game all 63 or what ever the amount is, can I assume that I don't have to do it again on a different toon?

As any achievement, it will be character based. So you will get the credit for that character but not for anyone else.

Refabricated. Clockwork style was one of the addons guessing, back before the motif names were added to the item cards. Gear in Halls of Fabrication drops in this style, but the pages (and style stones) don't.

I want to say there's also a motif in the 20s that's inaccessible, but, I'm not sure.

Cool, so my crafter is well on his way to completing this then.

Of course jewellery crafting will be the difficult slow, grindy one, but I'm sure we'll get there eventually.

Looking at my addon, 56 currently in the game. With a few of those being crown exclusive, that's a fairly hefty requirement. Only 2 or 3 of my crafters have that many completed motifs.

Tying achievements that are purchasable via the crown store seems against the spirit of an "achievement." Maybe they shoudl change the name to "completions."
