Merchant and Builder Classes

Anyone ever think about charter classes that would open up new content that didn't involved fighting, or very little.
Maybe becoming a merchant and then a master merchant and joining npc merchant guilds of the elite... or special stone mason crafter's guilds and you purpose and quest were building or things related.

    I actually have an idea for a sort of “builder” class. I will be posting it when it when the idea is more fleshed out. It definitely fits more as a class, just just a skill line like Undaunted or Fighters Guild.

    How do you propose merchants and builders play Cyrodiil?

    A non-combat class in PvP areas doing quests and RP is dead weight to the Alliance ...

    Or, would you restrict these classes to just PvE areas only?

    Just because they are not “in your face” types of classes does not make them less viable. They could offer outstanding support you know.

    As for a Merchant class, you got me there.

    ...and it suddenly looks a lot better!

    Merchant guild DLC might make a good deal of sense, it could have a passive line like TG or DB geared for haggling and trading... it might have a storyline involving the merchants allowing some gruffy adventurer with trader aspirations to join because they are in trouble that needs mercenary intervention; and it might have daily "escort" missions where you would have to accompany an traders cart going overland (no wayshrines of other fast travel!) on a journey through several maps...

    I like that idea! I will write something up and add it to my Guild Ideas!

    Builder... hmmm... there isn't any "mason" work for ESO characters, since the people at ZOS do that. And the rest of the building is covered by the craft skills, and the daily writs (why are there none of those for furniture? rewarding blueprints and such?) Not really sure if this could have enough "fluff meat" to make more of it...

    she ran a blacksmith shop, but she could still go out and fight if needed. 1h mace if i recall correctly.
