This IS insanity.

No cosmetic, or pretty much useless in-game house, is worth that.

I love ZoS Devs and community but their marketing department has gone to poop over last couple years . From reading many opinions this sale is not getting any hype at all for the game . That's a shame as Summerset had good promoting then this .

Zo$, your greed is destroying my love for this game. & what really is pissing me off, you don't give a damn about your loyal subs as long as you can rob people of their hard earned money.

Yeah this sale sucks. The typical sale on crowns is usually 40% off. They are really trying to double dip on us. They take away the ability to buy the new DLC(Chapter) Content with crowns, then take their normal 40% off sale on crowns down to 20%.

The last time I bought Crowns, I bought 5500 pack for $23.99 (40% off the normal $39.99 full price).

Old Sale - 40% off 5500 Crown Pack - $23.99 ($15.99 savings) = $0.004 per Crown

New Sale - 20% off 5500 Crown Pack - $31.99 ($7.99 savings) = $0.0058 per crown

I still have 6000 crowns left over from when they screwed me with Morrowind, by changing their whole business model to not accept Crowns. Then they changed again and accepted Crowns for Morrowind after the majority of us had already paid cash believing this was a permanent change in their business model.

I had already preordered Summerset before I found out about them going back on their decision to not allow crowns for purchase of Morrowind. This will probably be my last purchase with this game unless ZOS can get their bs straight here. Decide how you want to run your business and then stick with it.

20% is definitely not enough for me to bite. I was getting ready to buy to cuz I saw sale...then I did the math and was like "wtf???". So no ZOS, not gonna buy at this insulting "sale" price.

Depends on what your criteria is...if you are wanting to endorse their experiment then yes it is. If you would like to see the current trends curtailed then no it absolutely is not.

True . But we don't want zos to make this the norm for crown sales! We still want to see the 40 or 50% in the future.
I can understand why they chose to do this but I hope they still give us a bigger sale at least once a year.

Unless this 20% sale works well and people buy. Then, probably they will move to a 15-20% sales model.

This is probably just as marketing trick, since summerset is coming out with probably a bunch of new limited cosmetics, so they though it would be a good chance to give it a small sale and earn more from that. Probably 2 months after the release of summerset we might see another sale, but if it's not 40% or 50% just forget it, everything is overpriced on crown store without a sale like that. Buying crowns without them being on sale is just a huge NO thanks due to the normal prices. Like who does that..

Well, the reason I'm disappointed is because I saved my tax return money so I could stock up. I spent 1/4th the amount of money I would have spent. The only reason I bought any crowns at all is because theres an item this month that I want. I'll continue to not make any big purchases and pass on things though unless they have a 40-50% sale so I can actually stockup. I feel really disappointed that I even bought crowns for more than I wanted to. Things in the store are just too expensive at this point with the current price of crowns. Theres loot boxes that eat up crowns, holiday items/dyes, $100+ houses. Limited time furnishings and items. It's just greedy on their part tbh. There arent enough good sales, theres too many limited time high price items. Its dissapointing because I'd spend more if it wasnt so expensive. I'll put my money elsewhere.

And yet a lot of their customers don't because it's just another "who the hell is blowing up my phone again? more ads! forget this!" or "more drama? forget this!".

I tried myspace years ago and found out what a lot of people found out about facebook more recently. It's mostly useless fake friends and a good way for advertisers to get your info. Since then, I don't bother with any social trend unless it benefits me at least every month.
