20% off, on Xbox..
Tbh was waiting so I could stock up on them for closer to half price. I guess it helps though. I'm gonna be really mad if a better sale pops up in the next couple weeks.

Is 20% the normal discount ? I thought it was 50%, which should be the normal price when you think about how expensive stuff are on the store.

on sale on NA also now. Sad thing is, with the discount they are now the same price as what it is on the ps4.

    god this company is greedy.

20 percent is not the normal. usually it starts at 33% for the lowest denomination and ramps up to 40%. So they halved the discount.

    pathetic.

The price of stuff on the crown store is way too high, few days ago wanted to purchase some crowns to buy one of the horses priced at 3500 crowns, just for that I had to spend 35 euros for the 5500 crown pack... it's around 22 euros for a horse, since I would be left with 2k crowns, on a 50% crown sale the horse would've cost 11 euros, way more affordable.

I'm waiting on a sale on PC, but 20% off won't really change much... for now just got my 9k crowns from eso plus, but already spent those xD

so basically they raised the price on the crown store and lowered the discount on the sale so in essence they really are in the same place they use to be and by doing so they are giving the middle finger to all their loyal customers.

They are experimenting with the market (crown buyers) to see if they can find a more profitable middle ground than 40-50% off.

Its actually up to us in a way, if enough people buy into this, it could become the new standard discount.

Hopefully the 50% sale will arrive later, this 20% off might just be a small temporary discount, saw on xbox page it lasts for 4 days. I think in 1 or 2 months from now we will have a crown sale, just hope it's a 50% for all platforms or all the excitement waiting for it will be in vain...

No discount on PC/EU at the moment (looking at the ZOS site - the place I normally buy crowns from), it might be just for consoles.

Can we get a confirmation on whether or not this is going to be the new "sale" price for crowns? Why did it change? Where was the communication to the players?

Yeup... I was going to buy a bunch. Now I see they are trying to milk it, I'm going to hold off.

    Twitter?!?!?

Constant tweets from President Trump is bad enough. Are ZO$ now playing that game too? Shame.

Frankly they can keep their miserable 20%. I usually buy a large quantity of Crowns, but this is just insulting.

Same here. I was 100% planning to make the largest crown pack purchase during the next sale because I (stupidly?) assumed it would be at the same discount level as previous sales. Definitely NOT buying now. Guess I'll just scrap my Crown Store wish list for the time being...

I ran the numbers, (in US $)

Normally the 5500 is $1 for about 137 crowns, and the original sales would put it at $1 = 212. Last big sale made crowns somewhere in the 250-300 per dollar range.

    Currently,
    1500, $1=125
    3000, $1=150
    5500, $1=172
    14000/21000, $1=175

If you don't need crowns, I would pass on this sale. If you need a few, a single 5500 pack seems optimal in value per crown vs actual money spent.

Yeah...saved my tax return in hopes of an anniversary sale and was gonna buy 3 packs at $75 each to stock up, but at these prices not even gonna buy one. Kinda nice in a way since I was thinking about trying out Bless Online, I won't feel guilty about picking that up now.

They probably did this because of Summerset release, since its almost coming out, they thought players may want to stock up on crowns to buy more limited time offers during that release event, so why not just apply a 20% off, because you know after this one you might only get another crown sale around September or August perhaps? I don't know, not been around long enough to know which times of the year they do it, except for Christmas/New years eve and ESO anniversary.

Either way its a good marketing move, but I don't believe many of us will be happy with it even though we like the game, speaking for myself, if the sale was good, I would buy at least one 21000CP, but this way, if I really want it I will only buy the 5500CP one. But still it's overpriced, for the content you can purchase with it...

Love this game, wouldn't mind supporting them, as I already do with the ESO Plus, expansions and a few CP purchases, but these prices are just keeping me away from buying any CP at all.

A 20% discount on the UK price just returns them to what used to be full price, before they adjusted it thanks to the exchange rate jumping. (Noticeably they haven't changed it since to acknowledge the exchange rate going back to closer to what it was.)

This is obviously a test to see if the difference in sales between a 20% offer and 33-55% scale warrants continuing to offer the higher discount.

Buying during this "sale" is doing yourself a disservice.

If the data shows that they make the same or near the same after discounting with the 20% then they are likely to not offer the higher discount again.

With $100+ houses on four day sales, too many items on four day sales, ridiculously overpriced outfit slots, ever escalating prices on the CS that no longer qualify as "microtransactions", more and more game systems being designed like a mobile game to drive you to the store (outfit slots, outfit costs and now limiting jewelry crafting to one item at a time) and now only 20% off crowns it is getting easier and easier for me to just ignore the store.

I used to spend my ESO+ crowns within the first week I got them and have bought quite a few extra crowns in the past. Now I just got my recent crowns on renewal and have absolutely zero interest to spend them in the store at all.
