Not bad. Which campaign did you get it in?

Keep playing , and make sure you get the AP boost from the delves . You’ll see more time than not , once people get up there on the boards they’ll take some time away from pvp . Just keep pushing.
Edit : I read through that pretty quickly . But if you made it that’s wonderful and a great achievement . It’s not as easy as it has been , but kudos to you for getting itit takes a lot of time and a lot of commitment .

My first attempt was solo and failed... so I spent 5-6 months preparing a character for Blackwater Blade (the original under 50s campaign).
I don't PvP much but I made sure to get plenty of practice (on other characters so I wouldn't outlevel), made friends, joined a guild. The guildmaster pretty much lived for making new characters just to get Emperor, but I made a deal with him that I'd help him get Emp one week and the next was my turn.
So on campaign reset I was in the top 3; there was another guildie who also wanted Emp but he agreed to help me and wait his turn. I played as long as I could, staying up as long as I could, getting like 4 hours sleep if I was lucky, for I think 4 straight days. Every time we'd get down to 2 keeps required for Emp, an enemy faction kept pushing back, and half the group would go off and do their own thing. But finally... once most of EU had gone to bed... we did it. Man, that feeling of finally having the achievement...
Glad for you that it worked out so easily.
Is it more easy now to get than it was in the past?
So to start off I’ve always wanted to become emperor I felt that it would be impossible to achieve. I had a week off work and decided that when the campaign restarted I would try it for the first time. I don’t pvp much at all but I did read guides going into it. I set my alarm and woke up at the restart of the campaign I started off in 4th place. AD and EP were destroying us all day so no one was able to get it right off. People got tired and so there I took my opportunity I was behind by 400k ap no guild to back me up just solo. but after 24+ hours of straight grinding I got crowned. First timer first attempt. I started this topic because I want to know how hard this is to get. Is it more easy now to get than it was in the past?

'Grindy,' yes. But difficult? Not so much. Just time, and a little bit of luck (faction population, scoreboard, map/objectives color, etc.) It really comes down to your faction's coordination and if same-faction players get along and work together to strategically play the map and capture objectives, begrudgingly or not, many players hate people on their own faction than the other enemy factions themselves, (at least, that's how it seems in EP zonechat sometimes. Lmao.)
Swims-Among-Slaughterfish, my EP Argonian MagWarden (Healer/AoEfrostCCer) is my second time ever being Emp. The first time being Emp was on my first character, my MagSorc, The Dark-Mage, which I got Emp on him also on Shor PC-NA, 3 days before Hurricane Irma hit (Sept. 2017), and I held it on and off for a good duration before being dethroned IRL by a hurricane, lol.
Anyway, my MagWarden (is my 9th character), is very new and I only recently leveled it up and specc'd it out during the Jester's Festival event. Not really doing anything special or fancy with it, just experimenting around with different builds and combos.
It was created to be my EP PvP Healer since I have 5 EP characters (1 of each class) and 3 are DPS and 1 is a Tank, so I needed 1 Healer, especially since I PvP the majority of my playtime, and one can never have enough Healers.
All 9/9 of my characters are homed on Shor, when I started playing Shor on my EP MagWarden in this campaign duration it was already 18 hours in; so by no means was I camping Shor's Campaign Reset timer or racing and rushing to get Emperor.
My goal was to just level my Alliance War skill-line to unlock the passives (which greatly benefit Healers and ranged DPS).
The last few Alliance-War skill-line passives are unlocked midway through PvP Rank 13 (Sergeant Grade 1), which takes 1,158,000 earned Alliance Points, for each character. My original goal was to just play and unlock those passives, not go for Emperor.
It took me one evening of grinding from noon to midnight EST (typical Shor activity/primetime), to get placed in the Top 10 of my faction's leaderboards (at the time, the top 3-5 EP players already had 500k-800k AP earned) whereas I was at 275k-ish, but still in the Top 10. I would check the leaderboard every so often to see who's AP score went up or didn't move, to gauge whether or not that person was actively farming AP or offline/not in Cyrodiil. I passed several people, including 2 guildies, 1 of which I helped farm with to get Emp.
At that point, I was like "wow, I could totally go for Emp. Why not? I got nothing going on the next few days" (and Shor only lasts 7 days). I also had a slight grudge from before on when Hurricane Irma dethroned me 9 months ago, from the first time I got Emp (I had taken a long break from ESO from between now and then).
So, I got Emp on my MagWarden literally the next day, lol (2 days of farming AP). I grinded again from noon to midnight EST (I earned 275k-ish Alliance Points on both times on Day 1 grind and Day 2 grind, mind you, I started the campaign 1 full day later than everyone else, so it was Day 3 for them). I was crowned Emp at 550k-ish AP. And I held onto Emperor for about 20 straight hours or so, so almost a full day. I had a great, fun time playing with it and defending it!
TL;DR: Attaining Emperor takes time, dedication, coordination, and a bit of luck.

24+ hours of grinding? That does NOT sound fun at all...

Thank you! And all I can say is keep trying man it felt impossible for me but it happened.24+ hours of grinding? That does NOT sound fun at all...
It was awful and I felt miserable. Afterwards I kept telling my self never again but now I have an urge to keep doing it.

Fight that urge as its really bad for you and will cause issues later in life as a result.. Trust me on this i pay for it now..

True.... I had to change the whole way im playing to get emp because you just can't keep up with the people that zerg and take keeps if you Play solo / smallscale trying to 1vX.
