Log In Issues

NA-PC log in is a bit hit and miss, the announcements on the log in screen go on and offline every 20 seconds or so and changing characters drops me offline. Already checked my fiber optics provider and have zero issues with any other MMO or web-based activities.

Welcome to the club...I'm on DSL. Same issues...ERROR or TIME OUT when logging into some characters...at times.

Can get to the character screen real well.

Have flushed DNS. I have no issues with other sites and with another computer using the same connx...(not at the same time.)

Their server system is crapped out? Whatever methodology that logs various characters into the game IS NOT FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY.

I do need to test my 2 DNS servers for speed and so forth...but since no problems elsewhere...probably not an issue.

Load screens / login times have doubled recently. Also PC NA.

Long load screens are one thing...not being able to load a character half the time is another.

I get interested in doing something in the game..then GUESS WHAT...can't load the character.

Well, I can't see a reason to nerf someone who just plucks away at quests and doesn't do anything involving others in instances or PvP. Unless of course by nerfing you mean that I spend too much time in Inns and being forced to listen to the Red Diamond song on repeat, well.. for that I may be guilty. Yay for roleplay.

Unfortunately for me...I've just invested in Summerset and have maybe 1K in the kind of gold you pay for....didn't have this issue so much before this...otherwise I'd have thought about moving to another game.

I also seem to have issues with a couple of guilds that might be padding their trader bids with my stuff....stuff seems to disappear and I don't get paid.

Can't log into a character and the banking/guild system isn't reliable...could it be?

Could I just be paranoid? I'll make a deal...you can call me paranoid...IF the problems go away.

post script: found out that most of the issues were caused by an add-on...Auto Category. This add-on works well except that it bogs down the bank dialogue...deposits...etc are delayed and the banker visuals are interrupted. Also might be keeping things from happening causing a loss of gold...can't say for sure. Definitely causing issues with loading different characters....doesn't work well with the game.

My gaming computer can play the game a about the highest settings...problem was in the banking area only....maybe email.

Since disabling this add-on....the issues slowly resolved...have had maybe 1 or 2 errors or time outs since not using it...over 2-3 days.

Do I think there is "nerfing" going on...possibly to some extent. Do get the impression that there are certain people that have responsibilities in different areas of the game...and if you role-play in ways they don't like...they can and will change what you see and how you can interact with in the game. Have seen this several times.

Then there are interfering players. Some of this can be organized.

My approach? I play the game to have fun. If someone has issues. Let me sell you some dragonthorn...good for what ails you. Trust me. I'm an herbalist.
