Sadly it's because its very likely to be true, Considering how people are in this game. I've personally witnessed the same conversation in game multiple times about buying emp purely for the cheevo tick or worse, 100 Xbox point(less)

Not earning stuff the right way or hard way, is now the way to do it. I remember when cheat codes were a thing, and maybe still are. People want cheat codes to play the game, the 1st time through. I never use them unless I finish or beat a game, then the cheat codes might add some replay value.

I assume the OP was also one of the people farming dailies in Cyrodiil during the event, and getting pissed every time someone killed him.

Seriously? Jump into a zerg and earn it. Grundysorc was Emperor off and on this week PC-NA. I grouped up with some non-PVP friends who needed the achievement and they got it.

The Emperor didn’t make it easy, he had vicious death on and his back to back Emperor Destro staff ultimates (lol authority passive!) carved up the zergs, but he did die more than a few times.

I had to keep reminding my non-PVP friends to not stand on top of me like a trial boss fight. I got deleted by VD hits at least twice. But everyone had a good time doing it. Why deprive yourself of fun by paying gold?!

It isn't really an achievement I feel is rightly earned most of the time. All you need is the killing blow on the Emp, it isn't like you have to 1v1 him. I got my first Emp kill with a tick from Scourge Harvester proc as a zerg *** was taking the last Emp keep.

If Emp wants to get payed easy money by stupid people then by all means go ahead. I hope the Emps charge them as much as they can squeeze out.
