Last time we had a crate event I got 3 crates and one of my items was the Senche Leopard mount! My RNG is terrible so that was a huge win for me!

After cashing things in for gems I ended up with 56 gems and a tattoo for my archives. I now have enough to buy the pets I want from the next set of crates so the rng was fine by me.

What struck me was how the cards were colored, with "gold" being the "rare", and the "emote" was the "rare" in this.

The second container netted me a rare of "Stamina training" for my mount. ONE day's worth. This is considered rare? 250g isn't anything I'd call "break the bank" in price.

The third and forth crates unlocked me, as a rare, 1 scroll each of 150% exp for 30 minutes. Allow me to contain my excitement. *clears throat.

My 5th container had, by all accounts, an actual rare item, which was a full motif of the Dro'mAthra motif. Not a page. The entire book.

The last container netted me yet another "emote" as a rare, and along with the first, will stay in my collections unused.

Oh, and speaking of collections, I did also get one of the fugliest head pieces and mask I've ever seen. Is this really in the game? I can see why no one wears it. I don't recall the name of it but it looks like a red towel wrapped around an ugly mutant turtle mask.

I will say I do greatly appreciate the motif, despite having quite a few pages in my bank due to the anniversary event. I guess I can sell those now, so I'll earn about 20k selling all 4.

All I can say about this event is: at least the crates were free.

I don't even want to think of the stupid amount of money people wasted on this system which offers a SINGLE day of stamina training for a mount and calls it a "rare" offer.

fyi, WotC later decided to cheapen the guaranteed rares by adding a 'mythic rare' rank. and only 1 in 8 pack has a mythic rare in it.

Also was a huge M:TG player in my time. They have chase cards now too - which are something like 1 in 6 boxes (each box being 36 boosters). Even then you're not guaranteed anything. lol

Also I love how people bring up M:TG. Yeah you are guaranteed 1 rare and 3 uncommons. You're not guaranteed a mythic now - even in 36 packs. The kicker? 80% of the rares are worth .25 cents and not usable in standard tournament play. Some sets, as a semi competitive player, aren't even worth buying and the worst sets? The total worth of ALL cards doesn't even equate to the retail box price. I have cases and cases of M:TG cards in storage, with boxes of rares that are useless, and never been seen. I'm talking close to a thousand kilograms of cards here.

I'm guessing Violynne is just pointing out the fact that M:TG was and still is the same, terrible, worthless system.

I have had mine PS4 EU.
They did say they were out on the 16th though.
I just got trash, a few momentos that make me float, that are basically the same but inferior of that free momento you get from the pre morrowind release quest. A few face cosmetics that I will never use
a 50% and a 150% scroll, which I always keep for leveling alts.
The rest was trash.

Xbox here...not much a face marking that actually goes great with my setup so that was the best i got.

Contrary to some tinfoil hat wearing posters receiving these FREE crates didnt "force" me to go buy more crates.

Maybe the delay was to make sure the most vocal complainers about FREE crates got nothing. To be honest some of you could have got an apex mount and still would have come here to complain.
