Another MMO that I play periodically is WoW ( World of Warships, not what you thought huh?)
One thing about the battles is that they are almost all PuGs, with a few clan (In essence guild) players. A feature the devs have introduced is karma points.
In essence, a player can 'compliment' another player, up to 7 a day. These compliments are all click based, and you can compliment a player for various things such as, "plays well", "helpful", "kind in chat" etc. These 'points' are kept track of, so a player can see how the world sees them.
There are some players in ESO PuGs that I would not compliment for their behavior, but there are a great number I would. These people would have in essence 'good karma.' Granted, other people cannot see the karma points a person has, just the player, and the grand overseers of the game.
On the flip side a person can 'report' a player for misbehavior in chat, being a..
Non-kind person etc. Their karma points can never go below zero, but they could lose karma points if they were built up.
The main point of this is just to give kind players a way to see that their actions are recognized as such.
I was just thinking something like this could be implemented to in essence thank people who are helpful and kind.
EDIT: okay, with no downvoting
