But did they find it enjoyable enough to stay once the event ended? I don’t think so.

doesn't it just create long lines to get in making the event kind of annoying for most if you have to wait an hour to get in?

Once ZOS spun up additional campaigns to handle the (entirely predictable) extra load, it wasn't so bad on PC/NA. I would PVP on Vivec in the early morning until the lag got bad and then swap to Shor, which was about as busy as Vivec normally is.
