Bethesda has 2 big projects before the TES VI. Don't wait for it. Wait for more skyrim releases!
If rumors are true, we are soon anticipating the sixth instalment of the TES epic saga. It will be inevitably on market shelves no matter what ESO community thinks. The thing is the release of TES6 will dramatically affect the outflow of ESO players from the game to gain new experience in TES6. The ESO release was a breath of fresh air for all TES community, notwithstanding the fact that Skyrim is still in vogue amongst tons of gamers. It was a great marketing strategy to release ESO in several years after Skyrim when TES5 worls has already been explored by all for multiple times, and I'm no exception. New world, new experience, and the thing all players have been dreaming of for ages - to be drowned in TES world with all other travellers and wanderers, that's why the game is so popular. But what should the game ancicipate with the TES6 release? Will ESO community leave the project for trying TES6? Of course, all would like to try this one. But DAMN, how to combine all these two games?)

If they release co-op, and they should but probably won't because it will hurt ESO's player base in the long run, my wife and I will probably spend the next few years playing that. Only logging into ESO occasionally.

IF they ever actually complete Skywind and Skyblivion, I'm out for 6 weeks - 3 months. I'm not willing to lose my guilds during that though, so I'd need to log in here and there to donate and participate some.
Regardless, ESO is it's own animal and for me the single player games won't keep me out for good. I do hope to get to do some of that again, but it doesn't feel like it's really going to happen.

Um, ZOS works very closely with Bethesda Game Studios. They would know in advance if any development was being done on TES VI and would probably end up working to make it consistent with ESO.
They have literally zero reason to be terrified.

What does "soon" means to you? Are you some sort of celestial, cosmic or otherwise millenial being so year are just like blinking for you?
On topic, I will surely buy and play TES6, but i will still play ESO because of co-op with friends and gf.

Wow, it's almost like I only posted one sentence with no explanation of what I meant by it. Except I didn't.

I don't know about the team. They keep chipping away with discord updates, but there are big time gaps between them. In truth I only know it looks very slow to this non programmer. My gut tells me I'm not taking that short break from ESO anytime soon. More importantly here, I don't see any single player game as a threat to ESO. For all the complaints, there are reasonably frequent updates to go along with a massive amount of content that's already there.
Pretty sure Howard said they havent even begun development, at last years E3
So i think you're gonna be waiting longer than you think buddy
This. Last year they said they haven't even started working on it. We're doomed to re-releases of Skyrim until Todd Howard finally dies at the age of 225.

that is like asking if a solo ff game effects ff11 or ff14.
ESO is an MMO TES6 is a single player game. the two will not have competing interests.
