[CLOAK BUG] Shadowy Disguise Disappears When Crouching

Hey,

There's a rather nasty bug with cloak on PTS where Shadowy Disguise gets removed if you weapon swap & try to crouch while within someone's detection radius. It doesn't matter how many seconds you have left on cloak, the moment you hit crouch key Shadowy Disguise is removed.

Here's a video showcasing the bug:
https://youtu.be/MU7fSi3aR3g

Steps to reproduce the bug:
  1. Cast cloak outside of sneak.
  2. Weapon swap.
  3. Hit crouch key while within opponent's detection radius.

Edit: just to clarify, this bug is not present on Live server & only happens on the Summerset PTS.

I actually have seen this bug on live recently, or at least a related one.

I was doing a Black Sacrament daily and decided to pickpocket a npc(I know, but I had to do it) and they spotted me because they moved, not because I failed. I cloaked and was still crouching and moved away, but still not that far away, within normal detection if wasn't crouched or cloaked. I would never see the word "hidden" appear on my screen. The eye closed signifying being hidden, but I never got the shadow and sound of being hidden and the npc kept focus on me sometimes until I uncrouched and did so again.

This seems to also be related to the common bug where you crouch, most often while moving and within view of an npc, and, before the timer finishes where the eye would first close, you move out of sight and it keeps saying you are detected the second it goes hidden, so you never really hide. That happens often just once at least but can get stuck repeatedly "almost hidden...DETECTED...closing again, DETECTED" and always gets you spotted if you think it isn't accurate and try to do any pickpocketing or anything.

It's really annoying how they broke crouch stealth. This started probably the update for Dark Brotherhood or Homestead or somewhere between the two.

I'll confess: I've mostly researched how stealth functions in PvP, but one thing I know is that with NPCs you're not able to go back into sneak until you've lost aggro entirely.

As for the eye closing/opening repeatedly, there's several things that cause it on the PvP side of things:
    1. Having a DoT on you makes you detected every time it ticks (eye closes again if no one is nearby & opens again if you take another DoT tick).
    2. Being detected by a detection potion causes this behaviour (and it's the only indicator you're being detected by one!).

I'm not a gambling man, but I'd bet it's similar to detection potion.

I.e. after a failed pickpocketing attempt the game treats the surrounding area similar to how it treats an area revealed by detection potion.

Well it didn't hapoen before and wasn't a failed pickpocket attempt. I was trespassing, but they didn't aggro and had their back to me.

The eye reopening bug can happen with no witnesses anywhere as well. Such as an empty home.
