Servants for Player Housing?

Is there a way to get a bard and maids and such in my daggerfall castle? If not do you think its plausible ZOS might offer such a thing?

Nothing available so far. Some have asked about servants to flesh out the feel of a home, just would need more to express a want. The house dev even said that he reads want we would to see and has done some items based on that.

I use my banker and merchant.

Banker goes behind the bar ready to pull pints, and merchant (being female haha) stands in front of the kitchen fire, keeping her eye on the bubbling cauldrons.

You can also put your thief into your house not that he does anything of use.

ZOS has really missed out on an opportunity here.

How hard can this be to code? Even if it takes one person to spend one week it would be so worthwhile. Honestly I have worked on games and this seems trivial like it could be done in a day but there may be issues.

You could have a whole group of people in your house like a bard, a brewer, a chef, a blacksmith, a mystic, a stablemaster etc. Lets say you make 10 of them, ZOS could sell them for 1000 Crowns each or put out a pack with all ten for 5000 crowns. Sell just 1000 of those packs and you have made $50,000. A good day's work!

I agree having servants, brads, cooks, Gardner, stablehand etc would add tons of flavour! Gets lonely in the big manor alone! It would add some more realism and immersion to housing. I really hope it comes

I like the idea of a bard, but don't think that ZOS will give that away for 1000 crowns - it will be more like 5000 per servant/bard.

It would also be nice if visitor NPCs stopped by from the quests you saved them in. Things like that.

I'd like to have my alts as interactable characters in my house, so that I can access their inventory like I can access my bank or merchant. That would make switching gear (and other stuff) between chars much easier and we wouldn't have to relog all the time.

Servants?? Didn't we just have a discussion about slavery being wrong?? Unless you're offering to pay them a salary... (not ZOS...)

I don't think there is anything wrong wanting to bring a bit of life into our abodes. Why do people need to start bringing slavery into it? It's a damn game not reality.

Not at all, except that is the role women are still perceived to carry out, even in this enlightened age when a lot of men can cook better than most women!

Which unfortunately excludes my husband, so just as well I'm a damned good cook myself (no modesty there, you'll note :p ).

At least the poor man stands no chance of starving!

Cool idea, also pets and mounts moving around...

    But!

The best idea and thing that I still cant believe hasn't happened yet is Weapon Plaques and Dummies to place gear on (think Skyrim)

Housing could have NPC's, special quest givers, and a plethora of other things that would make housing worth the initial cost...instead we have a money sink that does nothing.

    Such a missed opportunity.
