How did you change your @name?

www.elderscrollsonline.com > signin > Account > Edit Account Settings and from there you can change your @ name .
After you picked your desired name, you go to your email and you have to confirm the @ change.

    Thnx.
Ignore your stalker. Hes prolly a sick weirdo. What can he do? Show up inrl? Smash him to bits.

    Creepy. What a loser.
I wish ZOS would take extreme harassment like this more seriously. Creepy needs to be kicked out of the game.

The only way to really get rid of these kind of people is to persistently ignore them. Do as if he isn't there This might be hard to do for you at first, but if you show no reaction to his attempts to bother you, he will get bored. The opposite happens if you do it like you do - you pay attention to him and that is what he wants - you are basically asking for trouble like this.

You can try blacklisting him in your guilds and provide screenshot evidence of his actions. Let the community get involved in teaching him or her not to be a creep

If you are on console, report him to Microsoft or Sony for harassment. They have a much better track record for dealing with this kind of stuff then ZOS.

This situation is as dangerous as being stalked by Tythis Andromo. I would not care beyond putting the stalker in ignore list.

Are you talking about a player or an NPC?

If a player, just go about your business and completely ignore him or her. The troll will eventually get bored and stop.

If an NPC, just do their quest so they stop following you.

This probably a silly question but, is it possible there could be an addon used to track a players location?

That is awful, I would keep reporting him to zos whenever he follows. Harassment is awful. If you are consol definitely report him to Microsoft or PlayStation. Take screenshots and include them when you report.

I wouldn’t be so glib about it. Cyberstalking should be taken seriously, as it can escalate: https://victimsofcrime.org/docs/src/cyberstalking---dangers-on-the-information-superhighway.pdf

This player is displaying disturbing behaviour that goes beyond mere trolling. A troll would simply give up after being ignored. The persistence of this guy suggests that he is possibly obsessed with the OP, and that he won’t stop until there is some form of intervention (e.g. a temporary ban, or intimidation from others who are aware of what he’s doing.)

I don't think that's a silly question; I was honestly wondering the same. I've checked Minion though and all these add-ons who let you port quick refer to friend's and guild's list - not ignore list. Since that person isn't on their friendslist and they don't share a guild it's probably not one of these. I was wondering if there's an add-on around that would tell people that you're ignoring them but couldn't find one either. ... and I hope that such add-ons really aren't around; I've only checked Minion (esoui) because that's the only place where I get my add-ons.

    This.

If you engage with him you are unfortunately giving him ammunition to claim that you were engaged in "banter" or, especially if you start getting friends/guildmates involved to go vigilante on him, paint himself as the victim and you as the aggressor. This applies to RL harassment as well.

You need to not engage and report, report, report. Don't accept canned responses about using your ignore list, and make sure that support knows this is a serious and ongoing issue.

Stalking to me is not a fun game nor a funny game. Not something cool when you have no clue on what the intention of the stalker is. Seen enough irl stuff to merit stuff like this needs to be addressed properly. You might laugh and think this is a joke but would you honestly think it is all fun and games if it happens to you or someone you care for?

Agreed. All the jokes in this thread are disheartening. Being stalked is a terrifying experience. I STILL have nightmares about the *** who stalked me, and it happened many years ago. Stalking is not normal behaviour, and all the unknowns (e.g. “will this person target my family/friends to get to me?” “will this person have a psychotic break and attack me if I let my guard down?”) simply add to the fear. Cyberstalking can be just as terrifying, as you don’t know for sure what the stalker knows. Fear of the unknown is sometimes worse than fear of the known. This is the PRIMARY reason why I reveal very little about myself to people online. I don’t give out my real name, don’t give out my location, am vague about my age, etc. A lot of guilds have Facebook groups, and I refuse to join them. When friends I make in-game start asking personal questions, I usually just shut down and ignore them until they take the hint. It makes it hard to maintain in-game friendships, but that’s what you often end up doing to protect yourself if you’ve ever been subjected to stalking.

I'm going to second the opinions to document everything. How long you were online before he showed up, where, how long he followed you, any ports during thay time. Then include those details in the report, maintain a log of this and your reports. Then keep expanding the list of incidents in the report. I'd also be very open with your guilds and friends about it. This isn't your fault, and they might be able to help.

Yup. And I can’t agree more with the part I bolded. When you’re stalked, it’s inevitable to start asking yourself if you led them on or reinforced the behaviour in any way. What you have to keep reminding yourself is that the stalker has extremely poor social skills, is acting out some bizarre revenge/predation fantasy, or has an untreated mental illness. It has NOTHING to do with you — you’re just the unfortunate person who got targeted. They would have done it to someone else.

Is it possible to script a list of people who have you on an ignore list and then port to THEM??
    This may be more widespread...

I hope not, that was something I've been kinda afraid of. I don't know how to code add-ons though so I'm not sure how realistic/unrealistic that would be and if it's something that the original code would even allow. I'd think (or well - hope!) that there's something in the original code of the game that wouldn't allow this.

I have no real knowledge as far as coding add-ons... but if they can be coded for "Friends" lists...
Maybe take him/her off all lists, period... Just ignore him/her... (believe me, girls are some of the best stalkers I know of...)

Take the advice of others and get your guildmates to help. Or maybe we need a guild to organise protection ie playing together on whatever server when someone tries. Either men or women, any orientation, it can happen.

If they are going to ban stalking, then they are going to have ban teabagging as well, according to some who speak of equality on the forums. It'll be hard to prove stalking, even harder than teabagging because teabagging is a single incident and stalking is a series of incidents.
