Neither skill nor character stats alone give the best outcome, but what do you think about "minimum" stats for different activities:
Base-game dungeon (normal)
Base-game dungeon (veteran)
DLC dungeon (normal)
DLC dungeon (veteran)
PvP (4-8 player AvA group)
PvP (dueling)
For a magicka dps-build, to take an example, having 1700 spell damage/35k magicka/45% crit in a 5pc light set-up (unbuffed) would be OK for normal and some vet base-game dungeons but would struggle in vet DLC and be awful for PvP dueling even with a higher skill cap.
Obviously a specific build might work better with lower stats, but is it possible to ball-park basic numbers to indicate how much of a struggle content might be below or under certain numbers?
I can't recall if the CP system shows up in character screen stats (some used to be cryptic) but let's assume it is already factored in. Maybe there are too many other factors to even give a general range, but having such broad targets to shoot for stat-wise would help with putting PvE and PvP builds together and also point out when it isn't about being under-geared (that is, your stats are good enough for the content so the focus needs to go more firmly to practicing rotations).
